Perfect place to stay if you are in the GW area.

The hotel was a perfect location for us because we were there visiting friends that were in the GW area. The staff was very helpful, kind and nice. Very close to the foggy bottom station that was convenient. The only thing missing was coffee downstairs. The restaurant connected to the hotel was delicious and convenient. I would stay there again.

The Italian restaurant attached to the hotel has a wonderful risotto. Very reasonably priced and they stayed open late.

Can't say enough good things about the staff.

The great service started before we arrived. I called the hotel to see if they could get me some information about renting a wheelchair for our stay, and when I arrived they had a list of service providers ready for me. While staying there, my mother-in-law, who was traveling with us, had a health emergency. The night doorman actually drove her to the hospital. We stayed in a king suite. The room was large and comfortable. The kitchenette was very compact, and the sink seemed a little small to wash a pan in. The bathroom was a little worn, but very clean.

Great value with excellent proximity to Lincoln memorial

Very well placed 3 min walking distance from Subway station Foggy Bottom and 15 mn walking distance from Lincoln Memorial. Great value even if building looks aged. Super nice staff going the extra mile to satisfy customer.

Couples city break

The room was massive - we had a suite with kitchenette and sofa which was perfect to relax in after hard sightseeing. Location was ideal for public transport links and walking to the attractions and also on a quite residential road. The staff were all very nice and helpful, especially Dante on reception and the doorman Kaiki(??).

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

Bear in mind in the summer Washington can be very humid and this means walking around the city is exhausting and it therefore talks longer to get places. The circulator bus is handy for most places, goes near the hotel and is $1 a ride.

A Gem in the Capitol

The George Washington University Inn as a gem in the heart of the university area. The staff go out of their way to make the visitor feel safe, comfortable and pampered. The front desk staff are especially charming and accommodating. No question is to much for them. The Inn is an older hotel. There were stains on the carpet in my room. But I was very comfortable sleeping on the bed and the temperature of the room was controlled by me. Overall if you are looking for a quite comfortable hotel near the university and other landmarks this is the place.

Business and Pleasure Trip

My first trip as an adult to DC, I stayed here for 3 nights while I attending a 3-day conference at the Kennedy Center. The hotel was easy to get to from the airport, being stone's throw to the Metro. The staff was very friendly and helpful each day I was there. The price is totally affordable, but they don't have a gym or a pool or even much of a lobby to hang out in. However, it was clean and my room was great. I actually felt very at home here, in the best way. it's situated on the campus of George Washington Univ, so there are college kids out and about. The houses around the hotel are adorable and colorful, and the whole area seems quaint and charming. There is a Whole Foods right near the hotel as well as handful of restaurants. The wing chair in my room had some greasy spots, but other than that I couldn't complain. I also tried their Italian restaurant, and it was very good. The spinach pappardelle Bolognese with herbed ricotta was delicious, and they had bacon-infused bourbon hot chocolate topped with cayenne Fluff. Yum!

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Take the Metro 5A bus from Dulles to Foggy Bottom stop on the orange line. The bus is only $6, so save yourself some serious money instead of taking a cab.
