Comfortable and clean

This is a 'quiet' hotel, well located and easy walking distance to everything you'd want to see in Washington DC. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Well worth the price.

Needs painting in the room

Everyone was really helpful. There was a good breakfast. The room needed to be painted since there were a lot of marks on the wall. The temperatures were 95 to 100 the 4 days I was in Washington, DC.

Great location

Our stay was very pleasant. We took advantage of the rooftop pool (quite small but still better than nothing). Valet is about $40 a night. Breakfast was standard for continental, nothing special. Location is great, a few steps away from the Dupont metro stop. On summer Sundays, there is a lovely farmers market at the Dupont metro stop. Would recommend it if you want to stay in the area.

Great location

We enjoyed that the Embassy Row Hotel is in a good neighborhood and half a block from the metro station, so it was easy to get around without a car. Plus there were plenty of restaurants, etc. within walking distance. The roof top pool was nice as well. There were a couple of nice surprises not mentioned on their website such as a complimentary continental breakfast and free WiFi. However, the internet access was sometimes slow. It was convenient to use the business center to print out our boarding passes. A downside is that they need to renovate, for instance the paint was chipping on the closet doors. However, if I were to go to DC again, I would probably go back, because I liked that it was a good neighborhood, close to the metro and within walking distance to shops, etc.

Needs some customer service guidance

These guys where incapable of fixing the Internet access, best thing they could do was offering some other room that I wasn't pleased with. Also had several hours without elevators Otherwise, this hotel was just ok, but conveniently located So, for that money, better look for other choices, surely there are some

Our first DC Trip

Overall, we enjoyed the hotel. it is in a perfect spot. The staff is great. The breakfast is a typical continental style, but a definite plus in that it fills you up. They gave you a good window of opportunity to get to it. The business center is basic and it does cost to use it, but you can print out your boarding passes free. We had brought out computer and there was free WIFI in the room with an access code provided by the hotel. The system was a little slow. Our room was a European style so it would seem small to most, but since we were here to see DC, it was fine. We were really close to everything. Use the Metro, both the buses and the underground are close.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Eating in DC can be expensive, especially at the attractions and at Georgetown. DuPont Circle has quite a few inexpensive places to eat just 2 or 3 short blocks from the hotel on P street. Also get the week short trip pass for the Metro, if you plan on doing a lot of local touring. It is a good value, even if you aren't staying a full week.

Great Location

The hotel's selling point is its location and continental breakfast. However, keep in mind the rooms are small, clean but not spotless, and the walls are pretty thin. I have no big complaints other than paying a little more than I felt was warranted.

Ask for a renovated room!

The non-renovated rooms are old, dirty and stale. Otherwise, perfect place to stay in DC; best location, excellent staff a great value.
