Old HIlton that is in desparate need of a face lift
All said, it was a room and bathroom. Just basic needs and a decent price. The carpet felt nasty under my feet, so keep your socks on and the toilet knob would stick. The shower curtain was bent, etc.. The finishes are old. The Hotel could be great, but desparately needs updating.

DuPont Circle
Booked a room for me and my 10 year old son...ended up having to share a full sized bed him. We weren't happy. Apparently the hotel was sold out of two bed rooms and since I booked through this website, I wasn't guaranteed beds. Never knew that! At the continental breakfast, we were bombarded by fruit flies. This hotel charges to use the internet on their computers...which must still be on dial up because when I went to print my boarding passes, it took a 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to do something that should take less than 5 minutes. So frustrating to say the least!

Pretty good hotel, not worth the price
Not a terrible hotel, but definitely wasn't worth the price per night. The beds were absolutely as comfortable as can be and the staff is fantastic. But i won't be staying here again.

It was okay, but....
The hotel is a short distance from quaint restaurants and convenient transportation. I visited the city on business, but passed by the National Aquarium, the White House, the Capital, and the National Mall.

Fair at best
The room was small, but adequate. Restaurant breakfast was way overpriced. The food was not worth the price we were charged. For being a Hilton we were disappointed. The best thing we can say is the location was good.

Good value, great location!
When I checked in I was assigned a terrible room; small with a view only of the interior of other rooms. Had to demand to be moved. Wasn't moved until the next late afternoon. Though accommodated finally thought the fact that I had to call several times to effect the upgrade was unfortunate. The restaurant is also sub-par.

The hotel's in-house restaurant is really only a breakfast room that serves lunch and dinner. Would not really call it up to Hilton standards for lunch or dinner.

Great location, fair price, quiet!
Good location. Quiet for the neighborhood...ask for the back of the hotel. Valet parking at $35 a rip off. Room service burger is good.

Easter Weekend in DC
Overall experience was fine. The hotel is in a great location. Valet did a very good job with ensuring my car was well taken care of. [...]Hilton's overall are hit or miss. My room was very small, but clean. The bathroom was okay...very small and dated. The rooms could be quieter. So if you're a light sleeper, probably not the hotel for you. There was a billing error that they fixed on checkout but took awhile to correct. It's a typical large hotel chain...staff was professional but not really warm or friendly.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Near good shopping. Could walk to Georgetown in about 20 minutes on a nice day. Drive to Chevy Chase or Tysons in about 20 minutes. Lot's going on near the Hilton Embassy row near Dupont. So if location is what you want...its perfect.

It's a room
If you need a room near a Metro station this is a great place. If you need a great lounge, lobby, or bar not so much. The staff were friendly enough, the check in was hassle free, the hotel was quiet.

One block away there are two pizza joints. Try them both. The one called Paradiso has a great beer selection. The other one, Alberto's has no atmosphere and great pizza. Grab a slice to go. You won't regret it.
