Hotel with rooftop pool on Embassy Row near Dupont Circle
The Embassy Row is a half-block from Dupont Circle in the midst of Embassy Row. Georgetown, the White House, and downtown D.C. are nearby. The Dupont Circle Metro is a half-block away. Guests won't lack entertainment with the neighborhood's restaurants, shops, and attractions, including the Phillips Collection, less than a block away. The seasonal rooftop pool is a great place to lounge during the summer.

good location - beware limo scam
Location is withing easy walking distance of metro and Dupont restaurants. Free contiental breakfast a huge plus. Main complaint is that hotel management tolerates the limo scam. You'll find this at some DC hotels...when the guy at the front door asks if you want a cab and you say yes, he takes you to a limo instead of calling a cab. I'm sure he gets a kickback from the limo driver and of course you'll get charged way more than in a cab. This is dishonest and taking advantage of hotel guests, so beware. The guy doing this went so far as to tell me it would take a long time to get a cab, trying to pressure me into getting into the limo. I refused and got a cab within 1 minute.

In Hotel
don't get in a fancy black town car instead of a limo if you don't want to pay a lot extra. They'll pretend you're getting in a cab, but don't believe it.

Nice, but check your room first...
Make sure your room is not directly across from the beeping elevators and busy floor traffic. If possible ask to see the room first. Thin walls and hall traffic make sleep difficult. Otherwise a fine hotel right on DuPont Circle and a block from the Metro.

Convenient, clean, friendly service
I stayed at the Embassy Row Hotel for 3 nights and had a good experience. The staff was friendly, the location was convenient, and the hotel and rooms were clean. Definitely a good place to stay for the value.

Great place, perfect location!
Perfect location for the bus, subway, restaurants, miscellaneous stores and sight seeing!! Would absolutely stay there again. Nice breakfast to get us started!!

Great location for the price! Right off Dupont Circle. Overall the hotel staff was helpful. We skipped the free daily breakfast for a more filling brunch. The hotel did offer baggage check for early arrivals or late depatures. I will stay at this hotel again.

Raku is a sushi resturant about 2 blocks from the hotel. VERY fresh fish! I don't think one roll was over $15.00.
