Dupont Circle hotel offers chic spaces and approachable bistro fare
Downtown style permeates The Dupont Circle Hotel, where a multimillion-dollar renovation transformed the hotel from top to bottom — an entire floor was added and christened the ultra-exclusive Level Nine. Fresh, vibrant and cosmopolitan, The Dupont Circle Hotel caters to guests in non-smoking rooms and suites, the French-inspired Cafe Dupont, 24-hour concierge services and meeting and event facilities that set the bar very high. European-style boulevards and America’s most coveted national landmarks are all within walking distance.
Highlights
  • Exclusive Level Nine concierge suites
  • Chic guest rooms with flat-panel TVs and iPod docking stations
  • 24-hour fitness center
Rooms
The private, key-access top floor at The Dupont Circle Hotel is Level Nine, a concierge level that establishes a new standard for personalized service and luxury amenities. The centerpiece of Level Nine is a 900-square-foot private living room with a fireplace, glass balcony overlooking Dupont Circle and three exclusive meals a day. Thoughtful modern design is evident in every detail, but the key concept here is service. A guest relations manager contacts Level Nine guests before their stay to make sure their stay is tailored to their specific preferences.
Superior and deluxe guest rooms at The Dupont Circle Hotel don't skimp on style and comfort -- look for luxury linens, heated bathroom tiles, plantation shutters and ergonomic Eames-style seating.
Dining
Cafe Dupont at The Dupont Circle Hotel draws on French themes to create a specialized menu utilizing fresh, organic produce from neighborhood markets. Enjoy a meal in the stylish dining room or the outdoor patio that showcases Dupont Circle. An original brunch choice is steamed mussels with chorizo cream. Bar Dupont revels in a seductive atmosphere, where the Dupont cosmo is a great starter before indulging in a prosciutto and brie baguette with fries dressed in truffle aioli.

Great Hotel

We stayed at Jury's for Capital Pride. Its location on Dupont Circle was fantastic! This is definetly an upscale hotel. Our room was not very large, but certainly comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helptul. We enjoyed lunch at Biddy Mulligans, the spinach salad was a treat. There is a Starbucks across the street. We are planning to go back for another fun weekend.

Great location to all forms of transportation.

For the price, it would be hard to find another location where you can walk to many good restaurants, ride the metro to all the major sites or take a waiting cab day or night. The room was clean and the bed and pillows comfortable. The water pressure in the shower could be better, but it was manageable. Overall no complaints. The staff was helpful with directions and answering questions. I will be recommending The Jury to friends and would stay there again should I get back to D.C.

Great value!

The hotel was located close to a Metro stop and right on Dupont Circle. The staff were all very friendly and helpful making our stay very easy! The food in the restaurant was OK - we had better meals outside the hotel. I would definitely stay at Jurys again - we were very happy!

My review of Jurys Washington Hotel

The hotel was very conveient to the party we visited in DC. The lobby was very nice as well as the resturant, bar etc. The rate was very reasonable for a hotel in this class and area of the city. The whole experience was overshadowed by the smell in the room. They said at check-in all rooms were non smoking. Our first room reaked of smoke. We asked for another room only to be told again all rooms were non smoking but they changed our room. The second room was almost as bad. We decided to live with it anticipating a third room would be just as bad. After returning from being outside all day the smell was terrible. When we returned home from our stay the next day, our unused clothes, which stayed in our open luggage in the room, had to be washed. I spoke to the desk clerk about the room smell and his comment was we'll make a note of it. I got the feeling they could care less.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

A lot of great restaurants within a two to four block walk. Georgetown is only about 8 blocks from the hotel and is a beautiful walk. The Metro (subway) is so easy to use and for a very small fee takes you to the Mall where all of the museums and monuments/memorials are located.

Great for the money

I usually stay closer to College Park for business at the University of Maryland, but I decided to try something different this time. The room was only about five dollars more than at the tired, run-of-the-mill hotels that cluster around the university, and it was worlds better--clean, roomy, comfortable, new bathroom. And the location can't be beat for things to do close by or ease of access to the Metro.
