average hotel

you get what you pay for...it's pretty cheap compared to other hotels...so i guess you shouldn't expect that much...here's one negative point..you can hear people and water flowing from bathrooms in other rooms.

Historical Building

The rooms are small and dirty. The location was good, only 7 blocks from the White House. The price was adequate for what you receive.

Facility

The internet was very slow. The room and a bed were small. They didn't have a way to move luggage but we have to move on the step. it was so difficult. The elevator couldn't use.

Good location, good price

A small, old, slightly the worse for wear hotel was.nevertheless rather pleasant. Located in a good neighborhood with many European guests. Our room was a little cramped, as was the dining area.

Yuck!!! Renovated???Not!!!

This place had lice!!! Dirty carpet, broken furniture and fixtures, wires with extension cords...I couldn't stay there. I had to book another hotel. The manager would not refund my first night. So it cost me $159 to merely look at a lice infested, filthy room! The website makes it look like a nice, quiet, inexpensive travel inn...the street and neighborhood was quiet and nice, but the actual hotel was a disaster!

really old

No parking available unless you walk several blocks to a garage; then you pay each time you want to take your car out. Street parking was a nightmare. The hotel is really old, the walls are very thin, no fridge, no microwave, no bureau to put your clothes in. The elevator was broken.

3 close restuarants, one closes early evening, one open til 10pm, the last one would have required a 1.5 hour wait for a table.

The District

The whole experience was ridiculous. The building was in poor shape and the rooms were almost disgusting. I was afraid to walk on the carpet without shoes and the bathroom was dirty and there were bugs. The elevator was broken, so we had to carry our luggage up and down. There was no parking, except for 4 small spots solely designed for compact cars. We drive a Buick Enclave, so the receptionist had to call the other patrons parked already to come down and move their cars over so that we could fit. I would not stay at this hotel again. The only saving graces were the friendly receptionist and the pillows on the bed.
