My review of Churchill Hotel
The suite was spacious and comfortable. It had coffee-maker, fridge, ironing board and iron. There is Ample table and desk top area and lighting. Wirless internet is available from a thrid party at a reasonable charge. Plenty of storage and hanging space. Bathroom is a little cramped. It is an older hotel, but is very well maintained. Good restaurants within walking distance and close to Metro station.

Sightseeing tip:
Long walk from hotel
The Zoo is nearby and free but disapponting now (Aug 2008) because of all the restrictions due to renovation.

elegance
This was the first time i stayed at the churchill...as soon as i walked in the lobby my breath was taken away...i felt slight akward because it was almost too richy for my taste...but it was beautiful...the only thing i was upset with was parking...valet parked the car and than charge you 25 dollars later...wether this be normal or not im not sure...obviously im not a city girl....but all in all it was a beautiful hotel...and a great stay...

Very nice experience.
Our stay was brief but enjoyable. Late check in. Held our car while we got ready for dinner. Overall met our (high) expectations.

Upscale hotel, super location & rates
We were spending a few days in the DuPont Circle area to visit relatives and friends. This location was great and the upscale feel of the Churchill was truly a surprise for the rate we paid! INSTANT access to catching a taxi as well. And, the hotel bar/lounge was a plus for getting a "nightcap".

Nice Place
This was a nice hotel with mostly friendly staff. It's 4 big uphill blocks from DuPont Circle, feels like way longer with your bags, but is also close to Adams Morgan, which is really nice. It was very clean, with a bathroom that could have been larger. My only real complaint would be the quality of the pillows, and I would have preferred a cushier mattress, but all in all it was very nice and quiet. Can't believe anyone still charges for WiFi though.

Walk up Columbia to Adams-Morgan. You can get good food and beer at Tryst, excellent pie at The Diner.

nothing to talk about
It was ok. The reservation was not there. Good that they had availability. They offer only valet parking for a ridiculous $39/ day. Room service was knocking on the door from 8:30 every half an hour because they had no tag "do not disturb". Windows were filthy dirty, pillows and mattress uncomfortable.

It was nice
We had a very nice Valentine's weekend. The staff was wonderful and very serviciable. There was no parking in which I assume was due to the Valentine's weekend but there are many parking lots around the area. The hotel is nice and the bar area downstairs is very nice.

stay for the inauguration
Recent trip for the 2013 Presidential Inauguration which meant the cost of the hotel was outrageous given this was a 4 star hotel I thought it would be somewhat more... when we checked in we were given no explanation of where things (ice, restaurant, vending) were located. No assistance with our bags. The hotel was run down. no safe in the room so to lock up valuables became an ordeal with a safety lock box in the lobby. Location was ok but very far away from sights.
