Great Stay!!

Just stayed one night but it was very clean and the staff was very helpful! Ordered room service from their restaurant and the burger was delicious!! And reasonably priced too! The location is close to all the area monuments, the closest being the lincoln memorial, not far from the cute shops in georgetown either! 24-hr CVS is right next door which is great if u forget to pack your toothbrush! Note though that they have a garage but parking is an additional cost per night even if you are a guest at the hotel. Will def stay again! Oh, and there was a full kitchen in our room!

Friendly & Helpful Staff

The hotel room was comfortable and clean. We made good use of the kitchenette once the staff provided a microwave oven. It would have been more enjoyable with a third bowl. Everything else was provided in groups of 4 except for bowls and wine glasses. I'm sure we could have requested another bowl but we ended up eating breakfast in shifts anyway. We would have been in walking distance to most of the museums and monuments if all of us had been healthy. My 71 year old mother could not make the walk. We ended up taking taxis everywhere and all of the museums had wheelchairs she could borrow.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

You must try the cafe in the National Museum of the American Indian! The food was fantastic! Half of the diners were federal workers on their lunch break. It could be because they offered a discount to federal workers but it was probably because the food was so good.

Great Location

We were in Washington DC to look at George Washington University and do site seeing and chose this hotel due to the feedback on the travel site. The rooms all have kitchenettes and that helps with the expenses on food, etc. CVS is right next door for food items. The location was great for us because it was basically on the campas of GW and within a couple of blocks from the many of the monuments and memorials. The metro was not too far and we puchased a metro card for easy travel. Note: don't buy a DC map, they have them in the office center on the first floor for free. Since it is a college area, there were many restuants and shops within walking distance. We would stay there again.

Affordable hotel near most attractives

Pretty nice hotel with very large suit room, and the most important thing is that it is around most attractive areas, e.g. white house, memorial, etc.

Pretty good deal

Perfect for what I needed: a place to sleep. Spartan, but clean, safe, and relatively quiet. Not a place to bring the wife or family, but perfect for a short business trip.

Business meeting/vacation

Very nice hotel; great location; staff was very pleasant; room was good sized and very clean; parking was an issue - we had two cars; we paid for 2 nights for the one car and had to pay for 2 nights for the other even though it was only in the garage for 2 hours of the second day; I thought that was excessive since the spot was immediately taken by another car.

4th of July in DC

The room was nice for the price. The front desk staff were very nice and explained to us how to get to the metro. We went to DC on the fourth of July so it was very crowded. There was a little pharmacy (CVS) next door so we could get some groceries. Other than a few select staff that weren't very helpful, it was a great stay.

Delightful Staff, excellent price

Our family really utilized the small kitchen during our week in Washington DC and when my daughter was ill allowed us to bring home food and make simple meals. The nearby metro stop and tourist attractions were easily walked by the younger, healthy members of our group but the 80 year old grandparents would have preferred a closer metro stop. The staff gave travel, dining and destination suggestions, got us Taxis as needed and brought us requested items at 11:00 at night.

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

With family check out Operation Spy at the International Spy Museum and the Newseum. Use the Metro from Foggy Bottom as much as possible and/or purchase a 2 day pass on Tourmobile for excellent narrative between monuments and memorials and you choose how long to stay at each place. Starbucks nearby, long walk but doable to The Mall, White House and free 6 PM concerts at the nearby Kennedy Center.
