Very comfortable!
The State Plaza Hotel in Washington, DC is a very comfortable hotel. It would be especially great for extended stays,since it is an all suite property.

Excellent Location
Large rooms with full kitchen, including a range. Bath room is rather small but overall, I liked the room. hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of the White House and other Historical sites.

Great Location for GWU
I stayed at this hotel for a quick trip to see my daughter at college. It's got a very convenient location for George Washington University. The room was really a studio with a dressing room outside the bathroom and a kitchen (no microwave, however). It's a little worn around the edges, but I found it to be clean and comfortable.

Since the State Plaza is in the GWU neighborhood, that means it's a short walk to most of the monuments (Vietnam, Lincoln, Washington, etc.) and the White House.

convenient location
The State Plaza Hotel was convenient to the Washington Mall, public transportation, and restaurants. My room was very large with a full kitchen,two queens, and a sitting area. The staff was very polite and helpful.

kitchen a plus
Our room had a kitchen with stove and refrigerator. This was a big plus. You can get food and the 24 CVS store next door. Also, it was within walking distance of the Metro (5 blks to Foggy Bottom Station).

central location for sightseeing

Very Classy
I was unexpectedly impressed with this hotel. If you like a modern facility with all the bells and whistles, this is NOT for you. Probably not a place you would want to take younger kids. Built in the '40's, this is a small boutique hotel that offers a classy atmosphere, but lacks the chain hotel amenities. It is located directly across from the State Department and within easy walking distance of the National Mall, GW University, the World Bank, the IMF and the Fed. My only complaint was that noise in the hall easily carried into the room.

Great DC Hotel
Great Hotel and staff is very helpful. Next to a CVS thats open 24 hours. Close to a lot of land marks if you dont mind walking a bit.

SIMPLE & CHIC
AS SOON AS WE WALKED IN WE FELT AT PEACE/EASE. THE ROOM WAS VERY RELAXING THE WHITE ON WHITE WAS VERY NICE. NOT TOO MUCH FANCY DECOR WHICH WE REALLY LIKED. COMFY AND CLOSE TO MAJOR ATTRACTIONS. WE HAD TO WALK A LITTLE BUT WE FOUND IT LAST MINUTE AT A GREAT PRICE. NOT TOO FAR FROM THE METRO. MY DAUGHTER ENJOYED IT! IT WAS VERY PEACEFUL. GRACIAS!!

WE HAD TO WALK A LITTLE TO GET TO THE WHITE HOUSE AND LINCOLN MEMORIAL BUT WE SAW REALLY NICE THINGS ALONG THE WAY. THE ARCHITECTURE IS AMAZING!!
