good deal, good location, okay service

The room wasn't ready even though we called, checked in, etc multiple times. Eventually they gave us a bigger room because the one we reserved wasn't available. Super crowded with students. Made service slow. some employees were nice, but for the most part the staff was uncaring and unfriendly. All being said, the location was great and the price was right. The room was large, nice, & clean.

Great location!

Good deal for the price: great location, spacious rooms, clean (not spotless), restaurant on site, good service, no particularly memorable ambiance. I would recommend the place.

Pleasant, convenient, Washington Hotel

The hotel was pleasant and comfortable, and the service is excellent. However, being in the midst of the George Washington University campus, there is very little choice in the way of restaurants and eateries. Your best bet is to eat on your way to or back from your destinations around DC. There are a few Starbucks and the FoboGro grocery next door is great for coffee and snacks.

Great location, wonderful staff

Great location - walking distance to Lincoln Memorial, Viet. Vets Memorial, Washington Monument. Kitchenette allowed us to save on food costs, though it's worth noting that the only groceries in walking distance are from a CVS next door, and are 3-5x regular prices. We rode the Metro to a local farmers market and stocked our shelves that way, but were still left without basics (oil, spices, etc). Rooms are clean and quiet. Not new, but well decorated and freshly painted.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Lindy's, on I street, has great, affordable ($6-12) informal bar food. *Very* busy (we hit it on Friday night, and it's obviously popular with students from GWU, just a block away), but excellent food and service.
