Very Convenient

Excellent Hotel , Good location. The room was very clean, large, and well appointed. I would stay there again. There is a $28..00 plus 18% tax for one night parking. I guess this is normal for the area.

Enjoyed my stay

My room had a powder room, a kitchen and a dining area, I was surprised and impressed. The room was very clean, the pillows were fluffy and there were plenty of channels to choose from. The gentleman at the desk was nice enough to help me set up the free wi fi on my tablet.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Actually I wouldn't call it short, I would say it's a medium walk to the White House from the hotel. So much to see. City is super clean. Hotel is across the street from George Washington Univ. You almost won't know it's there, the students are so quiet.

Good, affordable hotel for DC stay

It's conveniently located near Foggy-Bottom station (about 5 mins of walk), but it felt like there weren't enough places to eat nearby even in the GWU campus area. The CVS nearby the store and the kitchen in the suite room made it more convenient to eat my own breakfast. The liquor store near the hotel was also a bonus!

Old but clean

The unit was old but the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The electrical outlets were worn out. There was no microwave or oven but the stove top burners worked well. The large frig was nice. There were almost no pots or pans (had to ask for a fry pan). The staff responded well to any requests for needed items. The area was convenient and appeared to be fairly safe to walk around at night. The hotel is surrounded by George Washington University area. I would definitely stay here again.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Use the Hop-on, Hop-off bus tour. We went on all four routes (red, blue, yellow and green). I feel like we really know Washington now. There is a convenient bus stop just North of the Lincoln monument a short walk from the hotel.

Veterans Day

Being a Vietnam Veteran the loction was just a short walk from the hotel. Rooms were large with comfortable beds and very helpful staff. Wish they had more info about local places to eat also had no tourist info racks to help us locate things to do

Great location, great place to wether hurricanes :-)

Our room unexpectedly included a small but complete kitchen. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially given the hurricane (Sandy, end of Oct 2012) and everything being closed. There's a small restaurant but not very interesting, but plenty of places deliver food. Very nice location, easy walk to the Mall, the White House -- lots of sights within a short walk.

Wonderful kitchenette room. Restaurant was fabulous and very reasonably priced. Located in a nice neighborhood within easy walking distance to the monuments. Washington Post appeared at our door every weekday morning. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Room was clean and orderly whenever we returned from our touring. Historic hotel for historic DC

We had an incredible time at the State Plaza. Location is near Georgetown and all the monuments near the Lincoln Memorial. Staff are great. The hotel offers many suites with full kitchen facilities. This is a historic hotel with a quaint feel but incredibly clean. Could not have picked a better spot for us for an incredible trip!
