Friendly Staff, Convenient to Metro, small lobby, no free wi-fi
Great walk to National Mall. Convenient metro stops (2). Several eating options close-by. Not weekend friendly. Loud college kids throughout the night.

Very handy location
The St. Gregory was perfectly located two blocks from the location I was working. While I only stayed one night, I found the hotel to be excellent. The room was spacious and clean. There was a short wait at check-in, but the staff was very polite and helpful. There are a number of great restaurants in the neighborhood. I would stay here again.

Courteous and attentive Staff
The St. Gregory Hotel was conveniently located in the heart of the city. The room was clean, comfortable and adequately appointed and the staff were friendly and quick to offer assistance and information. The bathroom was somewhat small but it was sufficient and there was a mini-refrigerator in the room. Eating options were limited to one restaurant in the hotel, though there were several choices close-by. There is no swimming pool or fitness center on-site, however guests may use a nearby gym an no-charge. Parking is a challenge. Overall, as a business traveler, I was quite pleased and would stay there again.

Comfortable
The St. Gregory had a comfortable room with a large bathroom and plenty of closet space. The bathrooms did not have blowers in them but were otherwise spacious, clean and had plenty of towels. Check in was a little bit of problem. Never had a porter ask if I wanted help, but I had my adult nephew and 16 year old son helping so that may have been a hinderance for them. After trying two times to get my electronic keys to work I left the keys with the front desk and asked them to get it handled by the time I returned. The keys worked upon return and they had sent up a couple of waters and some apples for my incconvenience. I was very disappointed to find that the hotel bar and restaurant were closed upon my arrival on Tuesday. They did reopen it on Friday and I was able to enjoy the lounge for a couple of nights for a night cap. Never did try the restaurant because we had other plans already made. Overall, I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Short walk from hotel
There are several dining options in a very short distance and there are several clubs in the area too. Georgetown is a little hike, but walkable just as the White House. The rail is several blocks away in either direction.

Great Location
The St. Gregory Luxury Hotel and Suites is in a great location with access to the National Mall, Dupont Circle, and Georgetown. However when we checked in our room smelled like cigarrette smoke. When we requested a new room, the front desk was uncooperative and just repeatedly stated that the rooms were all non-smoking. We opened the windows and left for a few hours which helped somewhat. But there was a lingering musty/smoky smell all weekend. Also, I later found two ashtrays in the desk which were clean and appeared to be supplied by the hotel. Why would ashtrays be supplied in a non-smoking hotel? Other than that the hotel is adequate. I found the Marilyn Monroe statue to be pretty tacky but it didn't affect my stay. Overall, a good deal for the price based on the loctation- if you're planning on spending the majority of your time out and about in DC. The hotel doesn't offer much but a place to store your stuff and sleep.

We have stayed at this hotel many times before, enjoying the value, decor, location. Our room, a double, was particularly spacious, the new decor is as nice as the prior. The only drawback was the restaurant was undergoing renovations and not open, which was a little disappointing as we were looking forward to having a drink or coffee there after dinner out. We found a very nice option for breakfast though, an inexpensive cafe less than 1/2 block away, on 21st St. We highly recommend the hotel, especially if you get one of their many special rates.

Mark & Orlando's is an outstanding restaurant on P Street, right off DuPont Circle. The menu is eclectic, the setting, a small townhouse, romantic, service exemplary. We have dined there 3 times, each time better than the last.

Great find in DC
WOW, great location, extremely personable staff (they called up to the room 15 minutes after check-in to make sure I was satisfied), spacious, clean room with a lot of little touches like videogames in the room, oversized towels, incredibly comfortable bed. I would highly recommend this to a friend, couldn't believe how affordable it was for the level of quality.

Great Room
This was my first time at this hotel. It was very clean and the room was great. I had a jr suite. I could not get over how big the room was, especially for a big city hotel room. It was very clean, well decorated, and very comfortable. There is a small restaurant in the hotel, but there were several good restaurants within walking distance so never actually tried the hotel's. The metro was within easy walking distance as well - although we walked to the White House and museums directly from the hotel. This was a very pleasant stay in a very nice hotel for a very reasonable price.
