Nice clean rooms and good parking
This is a noce hotel in a good location. Easy to visit schools in the area (half way between Georgetown and AU. The under hotel parking was a nice feature. We drove our Honda Pilot and were able to manage the garage. It might have been easier in the Mini Cooper... but these are the choice we make. Starbucks and Bruegers Bagels are just a few steps down the street.

Most pleasant stay
We had wanted to book another hotel but settled for this one due to the location and the price. We were pleasantly surprised by the proximity to the various places we had to visit. We attended a function at our grandchildrens school near by, spent an afternoon at the flower mart at the Cathedral and attended a performance at the Washington Ballet by our grandson. The room was comfortable especially the beds. We enjoyed free parking and coffee as well.

Decent place with free parking
The hotel is located near restaurants, Whole Foods, FedEx, and CVS, making it easy to take care of day-to-day business, despite the fact that it is not within walking distance to a metro. The hotel also includes a nice little kitchenette. The biggest plus is the free parking garage, a rarity in DC. Overall, it is not a bad value. It is, however, missing a few things like a bathtub (it's only a shower), and the curtains in the room were very thin, white, transparent pieces of material that did not block out sunlight or street light.

very enjoyable stay
I attended a conference located at Holiday Inn but the reviews for HI were less than optimal so we stayed just up the street at the Savoy, for which I am very glad we did. The desk staff were excellent, very helpful and knowledgeable. We would definately stay there again. Just wish they had a pool but we know why they don't and it is understandable. The temperpedic mattress was very comfortable. restaurant food delicious!

The Savoy was easy walking distance to many resturants and boutiques along Wisconsin Ave. including the Washington National Cathedral. A short drive to Georgetown and on to the monument district.

The rooms have horrible lighting--
The rooms have horrible lighting-- not very well thought out so the rooms are very dark unless you open your privacy curtains. The bathrooms are SO outdated and the tile floors were filthy and stained. The hallways to the rooms were not air conditioned-- not very inviting when you arrive on your floor. The staff was courteous and the beds were comfy. I expected more for what I paid. Definitely should have stayed at the [other hotel] down the street!
