Family Spring Break in DC

The staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good. It was a short walk to the National Mall. My only negative was the price.

Good choice for families

Comfortable, clean, basic. Small indoor pool that the kids enjoyed every afternoon after a long day of sight seeing. Free breakfast was good and free "evening social", which made an adequate dinner during the week was nice. Very convenient location to the national mall and smithsonians. Met Ron Paul in the lobby one night ;)

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Not really a family restaurant dinner option nearby sceptic 1 pizza place next door and the free hotel meal inside. We had the free hotel dinner 2 nights, pizza 1 night and met other friends/family in the area for dinner the other nights. We had lunch at smithsonians nearly every day, where there are plenty of good choices.

Great staff!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was very convenient for visiting all the many attractions. The room was also clean and comfortable, much bigger than we expected. They also had a nice breakfast to start our day and an evening light dinner/snack. We were very impressed with how nice and helpful all the staff were. Best of all were the Cherry Blossoms!!

Staff was Amazing

I took an early flight into DC, and arrived a little before 10 AM. the staff found a room for me for an early check in, and were respectful, considerate, and helpful at every turn. The free breakfast was excellent, and there was plenty of seating in the dining room. Located right next to Federal Center Metro- the Hotel was my hub from which i explored the city. Was so glad that the external doors and elevators required room key for use, this made me feel very safe as a single woman in a big city. Thanks so much Residence Inn! I will be back!

Family Fun

This hotel worked very well for us. The suite with kitchen facilities helped us save money on food expenses. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. It was close to a Metro station, the National Mall, the Capitol, and many of the Smithsonian Museums! The breakfast buffet was very good and staff was very friendly and helpful!

great stay

Spent a week touring D.C. with my family (of four) and this hotel provided the perfect location. Didn't need a car because you are close enough to walk to most sites on the mall and capitol hill. It is also two blocks from the Metro subway to get you other places (including ron reagan airport) with ease. We were on the 10th floor and had a view of the capitol building. Breakfast buffet was decent every morning. Coin laundry was helpful. There is a surface train line that runs next to the hotel but it wasn't very noticeable because the trains weren't very frequent. A slight negative was the heating system was kinda noisy, but if you are there in the Summer it won't be an issue.

Use the Metro. Get an MTA CharmCard ahead of your trip online. The discount you'll get on rides more than covers the 2.50 you'll spend to get the card.

Couple getaway

Just what we needed. The hotel amenities and service were perfect for our short visit. The Metro was a very short walk, with easy access back to Reagan airport. The hotel help was friendly and the breakfast satisfying. Would definitely go back. Only drawback was the lack of restaurants in the area.
