good for a quick trip

The Renassaince staff was friendly, room was clean enough, location was pretty good. This isn't a stand out place, but I'd stay there again if I needed a cheap, average hotel. The room Wifi is extra $, the beds are pretty small (full, not queen), and the room seemed a little cramped with too much furniture and the closet was clear behind the bed on the far side of the room. But I didn't spend all that much time there, and it's close to a metro station (which was unfortunately closed during my stay). Overall, not a bad place but nothing special.

Excellent Romantic Overnight

Very professional and courteous staff. Comfortable room. Central location. Reasonably priced. Nice bar. Only negative was valet service as it takes 25 minutes to get vehicle. Knew ahead of time, so was able to plan for the delay.

annoyed

I've stayed here before - for NYE actually about two eyars ago and had a great experience. This time not so much. We were given a king room on the 4th floor. The layout was nice the room itself was cute not very modern but was fine. The bathroom was where the problem was. The sink area had like makeup stains on the marble or whatever the sink area is made off and there were hairs on the shower curtain which by the way is towel material....? when was the last time you had a towel material shower curtain? Anyways - moving past all that the walls are a bit thin we heard our neighbors but what really made this stay terrible was GETTING YOUR CAR IN THE MORNING. IT TOOK 30 MINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These valet guys were just so slow and literally had zero clue what was going on. They weren't friendly or catering to your needs. Checking in was east and fast tho! won't be staying here again.

Great Location, Good Value

The place was in a great spot -- close to the metro, and a nice walk to Georgetown, Dupont or the monuments. The room was pretty small but it was clean. The bed was also pretty small -- they said it was a queen, but i'm pretty sure it was only a full-size. Other than that, it was a nice place and we got a good deal, so we were happy with it.

Great trip to D.C.

Very helpful staff, excellent location for walking to the National Mall or any of the restaurants/bars near Dupont Circle. The maid service missed us one day but that was my only complaint. Overall, a very good value!

Solid choice

My girlfriend and I stayed here for three nights over Labor Day weekend. The location is very practical - close to Dupont Circle, Foggy Bottom and Georgetown, as well as several other hotels. Staff was friendly and attentive. The accommodations are nice, but having seen both the queen and king options of the default room, I can say your own impression will be highly dependent on in which of these you end up staying. I would have felt less satisfied had we stayed in the significantly smaller room with a queen bed we were given upon arrival (but kudos to the front desk for allowing an easy switch). The restaurant was great for a quick breakfast on our last day.

Great accommodations in the heart of Georgetown!

Was in DC for a wedding. This location served as a perfect base as walking distance to oodles of eateries and conveniences, i,e.drug stores for last minute essentials. When we did use our vehicle, did not have to drive far to find any given thing. Would definitely like to stay there again.

Had a great stay

This hotel is very well situated near countless restaurants just north of Georgetown. Perry, the concierge, is very adept at finding the right restaurant for you no matter your taste. If you want to know where to eat he will set you up. Hotel staff are excellent and attentive. Hotel itself was very nice and had a great bar and restaurant in the lobby. Only problem I had was the cost of parking, approx $ 40 a day, but this was with unlimited access to your vehicle and no penalty for going in and out. I found a parking spot about a block away and saved a lot of money. Parking in this area is a major ordeal so some might find paying $40 worth not having to deal with it. The other issue was WiFi access for $15 a day!!! You have got to be kidding me!!!
