Great Hotel in a Great Location

We came to D.C. for the weekend to see the sights. Luckily the hotel was close to everything Washington. The national mall was a straight shot down 9th street, about a twenty minute's pleasant walk. Coming back was great as well. The room was clean, well-furnished, and very spacious. Wonderful hotel, polite and prompt service, and a great experience all around.

Great price w/ central location

I recently stayed at this Renaissance. I booked it for $99 a night. The rate can run anywhere up to $270-300, so I've seen. But at $99, it was perfect. Very nice hotel, no complaints. It is mainly a hotel for business travellers, when I was there this past weekend there was a big convention going on. Hotel is centrally located in downtown DC. Was close to everything, even the Metro. I recommnend.

Incredible service comfy beds

This hotel's service is excellent! When I complimented a restaurant server on his service, he said, "I love to serve!" And it was obvious. EVERY staff member I encountered went out of their way to be of service. The beds were comfy, the room quiet and well-appointed. I'd definitely stay there again! There was construction going on in the lobby, but it was of no consequence whatsoever.

Great Place to stay

So much to see and do in Washington DC, especially with my 11 year old grandson. It was great to come back to the hotel and be able to immediately relax and unwind. The room was great and lacked nothing and enjoyed the public areas as well. One small ciriticism only one restaurant open (sports bar environment) would have been nice to experience the other restaurant. Would definitely come back and stay again in the future.

Glorious hotel with one poor characteristic

The hotel both honors the glamour of last century's hotels without sacrificing modern amenities. The lobby is very attractive and is manned by helpful guest advisers. This grandeur carries over to individual rooms which are spacious, quiet and comfortable. The only negative is that the PCs in the so-called business center charged 40 cents a minute. During my five day stay, I passed by the PCs four times. At no time were they being used. 40 cents times zero usage comes out to zero dollar revenues. I would recommend the hotel experiment with lower prices to find which price maximizes revenue.

The spy museum was captivating and filled with surprises. The news museum was far richer in detail than I expected.
