Palomar Dupont Circle

Had an enjoyable stay. As it got more crowded during the week you could tell the soundproofing could be better. Great location, staff was very nice. Room was large and clean. Elevators were small but efficient. Should offer free wifi.

Great Employees

Drove from out of state, expensive to park overnight at hotel, and to eat at hotel, however on the same block are several places to eat well and inexpensive. Beautiful room, and great amenities. We would stay there again.

No Tea/Coffee Making Service!?

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and we liked the experience overall. Excellent amenities, clean, huge space (literary a HUGE space!), conveniently located, nice staff, and really great restaurant inside as well. BUT, both my sister and I were really surprised that we had to pay to watch any TV shows (I have never stayed at a hotel that none of the shows were free - even much cheaper and "less stars" hotels), and the saddest thing was that there was no tea/coffee making facility in the room. Again, this came as a surprise since any hotels I've stayed in the past always had this and was able to enjoy the freedom of being able to have tea/coffee anytime I wanted without ordering room service. At this level of hotel, I wish that this was available though they did have complementary coffee service in the lounge area of the hotel. These two points disappointed us and lessen our satisfaction. BUT again, overall experience was really really great!

wonderful trip

We traveled over the 4th of July weekend. The hotel is in a very good location. We felt safe in the neighborhood, and there is lots to see within walking distance, but th Metro station is just 2 short blocks away.

Great location and value

I have stayed in several hotels while doing business in DC, and the Palomar was my favorite. The staff was friendly, and the room, although a bit cramped for working, was clean and quiet. The fitness room was not overloaded with equipment, but it was more than sufficient for a good workout. I had the breakfast at the associated restaurant, and it was quite good. All in all, a good place to stay in DC, and I will return.

The first night I didn't feel like venturing far for dinner, and I was directed to the Pizzeria Paradiso which was about a block away. Great food and good value.
