Not too shabby!
Genuinely courteous and friendly staff, excellent service in all respects. Free wine at its friendly bar for happy hour. The hotel has a good restaurant, Urbana, and there is a plethora of nearby restaurants representing a wide range of prices and cuisines on P Street and nearby Dupont Circle. The hotel is attractive, the rooms are attractive, the exercise room is great with state of the art equipment. The bathrobes were unique and my wife wanted to take hers home. The only shortcoming was running out of hot water when I wanted to shower after exercising. The Palomar is now my go-to hotel in DC.

Excellent staff and accommodations
This is our second stay. We arrived late and they put us on the second floor because they were sold out. They said we could move the next day but the room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. If this is what they consider not a good room then they have high standards.

No Tea/Coffee Making Service!?
My sister and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and we liked the experience overall. Excellent amenities, clean, huge space (literary a HUGE space!), conveniently located, nice staff, and really great restaurant inside as well. BUT, both my sister and I were really surprised that we had to pay to watch any TV shows (I have never stayed at a hotel that none of the shows were free - even much cheaper and "less stars" hotels), and the saddest thing was that there was no tea/coffee making facility in the room. Again, this came as a surprise since any hotels I've stayed in the past always had this and was able to enjoy the freedom of being able to have tea/coffee anytime I wanted without ordering room service. At this level of hotel, I wish that this was available though they did have complementary coffee service in the lounge area of the hotel. These two points disappointed us and lessen our satisfaction. BUT again, overall experience was really really great!

Good location, 2 negative issues
This hotel is located in Dupont Circle which is an awesome location. 2 Negative issues: 1 - They over sold the hotel room that we were placed on the conference room with pull out sofa bed for the first night. 2 - We booked the room for 3 nights but somehow their system said we only booked 2 nights. We showed the booking confirmation via Orbitz and we were hassled by the staff a bit which was very unconformable. If those 2 issues did not exist, we would stay this hotel again.

Very good stay
Bicycles for free, wine tasting for free, a very polite, attentive and helpful staff. The only critical point was the isolation to the neighboring room. We got some information from the phone calls.

Palomar Dupont Circle
Had an enjoyable stay. As it got more crowded during the week you could tell the soundproofing could be better. Great location, staff was very nice. Room was large and clean. Elevators were small but efficient. Should offer free wifi.

Charming boutique hotel in great location
I booked the Palomar Hotel based on its classy address, proximity to the Metro and the online reviews, and it still exceeded our expectations. The room was warm and colorful, with interesting artwork and furniture. The bedding was cool and smooth...I checked the label and it was Frette! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. There are many excellent restaurants nearby, such as Pesce and Vento. We had come to DC to take in the usual sights after a long hiatus. It was so easy to get around, and such a pleasure to come "home" to our lovely room. We plan to return soon to see the rest of fantastic Washington, and will definitely book the Palomar again. We might even bring our dog!

Not Applicable
Be sure to eat at one of famed Spanish chef Jose Andres' beautifully decorated restaurants, easily accessible by Metro. We especially loved the tapas at Jaleo. When you're touring the museums on the Mall, have lunch in the Sculpture Garden of the Smithsonian Museum of Art. The bulding looks like the wrought iron Paris Metro and the sculptures, like the giant brush eraser, are whimsical. Go see the new Sant Ocean Hall in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History next door. Very cool rotating Planet Earth.

The hotel was amazing. I am VERY
The hotel was amazing. I am VERY picky about cleanliness and I was really pleased. The room was enormous, the staff was wonderful and the location could not have been better. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant (Urbana) all three nights .... it was that good!
