Very comfortable stay

The room was much bigger than expected. It's not fancy but it is very comfortable. The whole coffee beans, grinder, and coffee maker where a pleasent surprise. The balcony would probably be really nice in the summer. The staff was unusually and consistently, happy, friendly and helpful. The Metro was close. There were lots of restaurants close by including a really good burger place. It was a very nice place to stay.

Excellent place

- conveniently located for reaching on foot the Foggy Bottom, Dupont circle day-time/ night-time attractions - blue/ orange line metro station 3 minutes walk away - big room with balcony, separate kitchen, bathroom and walk-through closet - kitchen furniture/ appliances slightly outdated, kitchen well stocked and fully functional though

Great, friendly hotel! Very uncomfortable bed!

All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Loved the "happy guest hour" with champagne and samples from the restaurant! The bed was extremely uncomfortable! Location was great, but very noisy traffic and sirens.

Great Location

Nice hotel, spacious rooms (suites!), excellent staff. A couple of problems: chemicals used to clean the rooms and public areas were kind of overpowering; bathroom had peeling paint on the ceiling and mold in the grout lines. That said, bed was comfortable, free internet was really fast, and location can't be beat.

geat location between Georgetown and Mall and/or Whitehouse

The staff was wonderful to let me check in early. (Otherwise I would have missed the last hours of Cherry Blossoms before they all blew off!) The location was perfect for me with Foggy Bottom Metro 2 blocks away and centrally located between Georgetown and Mall. Really noisy d/t sirens going to George Washington ER, but a borrowed fan from Housekeeping helped tremendously "Part of the URBAN EXPERIENCE". Never used the kitchen. Quite dangerous accessing streets from Washington Circle d/t sidewalk closures and pedestrian lights not working. BE CAREFUL before crossing. Big Bus (hop on/hop off) available in front of hotel. DC Circulator very close also.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

If you want to get away from urban craziness for a short while, go to Georgetown, rent a bike or use the SharedBike and cruise along the Capital bike path or the C&O canal and just enjoy the forest and quiet

great room, hard bed

This hotel was awesome except for the bed was not that comfortable. The rooms have a kitchen living room and separate bedroom but they need to get more comfortable beds.

Wonderful boutique hotel in Foggy Bottom

This is a well-located small hotel located in Foggy Bottom, a few yards from both Metro as well as Circulator Bus access. Service is personalized and full of extras -- all suites, balconies, complete kitchens (with coffee and coffee grinder), newspapers, complimentary shoe-shining. The value is good, and my wife and I look forward to being return customers.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Circle One Bistro (at the hotel) offers fine dining in a casual intimate setting. Within a 5 minute walk are a Whole Foods and Trader Joe's to stock your suite's kitchen.

An almost perfect hotel experience

Great location, easy to get to (minutes from the Memorial Bridge from Alexandria), courteous staff, large and well appointed rooms with fridges, microwaves, and many fine details--fresh whole bean coffee with a grinder! Great value for a luxurious hotel. Only thing to be aware of (this wasn't told us in advance): parking is $30 a day PLUS TAX of about $6; parking thus becomes quite a surcharge for a two night visit.

Great location for great price

I stayed here for three nights of a business trip and was very happy with the location and price. My only complaint is the extremely slow (but free) internet. However, I believe you could opt to pay more for faster service.
