Nice hotel, great location, helpful staf

Very nice hotel, friendly, helpful staff, perfect location. GWU Hospital, police station and fire station in the immediate neighborhood made for very noisy traffic.

Pretty much every activity, from shopping to area attractions was within walking distance for us. Georgetown was 10 blocks one direction, the White House was a 30 minute stroll, Lincoln Memorial was about 15 minutes away. Beautiful neighborhoods!

family vacation to DC

The hotel was great, staff friendly and helpful. We had our 2 year old son with us and they gave us a really spacious room without us even asking for it. There was plenty of room to set up the crib they brought in a separate area, making it easy to put him down at night. The room also had a frige, which was nice to store snacks for him. We went to DC to see all the museums, monuments, etc. This was a great place to get everywhere from. Near metro stop and a whole foods, which we found convenient.

A fine choice

I spent two nights at the hotel while in DC for a business meeting. Other than sleeping, I wasn't in the hotel very much. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Because the room was on street level, it was a little noisy, but not enough to disturb sleep. Fitness room is small - a treadmill, bicycle, elliptical and combined weight stack machine. Adequate, but nothing special. It was a 10 minute walk from my meeting. A good choice for the money and my trip. And as it turned out, the room was available, and I could check in, when I arrived at 8:00 a.m.

Good Affordable Hotel in Great Location

The hotel was in a great location (2 blocks from a Metro station and walking distance to the National Mall, Georgetown, and Dupont Circle). The room was large and clean, but it was clearly an older hotel.

Large and comfortable room

The suite was very comfortable and large with a nice sitting area, fridge, microwave and coffee bean grinder and coffee maker. The room was spacious and clean and in a good location. The only thing about the location is that it is near a hospital and the sirens can get a little loud. The floor was supposed to be non-smoking but the people in one of the rooms next to us were smoking and it came into our room. There was a guest laundry area with one washer and one dryer and the washer temp was backwards and it cost $2.00 to dry a load and the load was still wet at the end of the cycle. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

There is a restaurant in the hotel that we didn't try but heard was good. However, we found a good chinese restaurant, Meiwah, a couple of blocks behind the hotel that was very good and had outdoor seating with reasonable prices.

Beautiful, friendly hotel-great location

Beautifully decorated hotel in a wonderful part of downtown D.C., just on the northern edge of the Georgetown campus. A little over a half-mile walk to the nearest subway stop, and just under a mile to reach The Mall area with all the museums, White House, and monuments. Our only disappointment is that, although very friendly, the staff weren't overall knowledgeable about the area and activities it has to offer. They couldn't give us a lot of assistance in the way of advising us on different tour options, making reservations for events/tours, or giving directions to places. For the price and high rating of the hotel, we had expected a more complete "concierge" service. Overall, great experience and would stay there again!
