Location, Location. Location

This is the 2nd time i've stayed at this hotel and i have already booked my next visit...The location is absolutely perfect for my personal needs , close to G'Town, the Kennedy Center and DownTown - well connected by public transport (about 1 block from the Foggy Bottom Metro, bus station around the corner for at least 4 bus lines and the Circulator G'Town/Union Station and Dupont Circle / Rosslyn lines ) with lots of good dining places within a short walk from the hotel. The rooms are spacious (more like suites) and usually have at least a microwave or even a small kitchen , which suits me very well, as i usually stay at least for a week. Some of the rooms have a balcony, another nice feature.. The staff is very friendly and has always been absolutely helpful. i have not yet tried the restaurant on location, have however been told that it is worth a visit - maybe i manage next time :-) Internet access is free of charge, but may be inconsistent and slow on and off...

family vacation to DC

The hotel was great, staff friendly and helpful. We had our 2 year old son with us and they gave us a really spacious room without us even asking for it. There was plenty of room to set up the crib they brought in a separate area, making it easy to put him down at night. The room also had a frige, which was nice to store snacks for him. We went to DC to see all the museums, monuments, etc. This was a great place to get everywhere from. Near metro stop and a whole foods, which we found convenient.

WHole foods is just around the circle- quick and easy access to good food to stock the frige for cheap and yummy breakfasts and snacks.

Funky

Old and funky hotel. I only stayed one night, thank goodness. Non-smoking room smelled like stale cigarettes, the faucet dripped, couldn't get wifi to work. No bottled water in the room and no vending machines to purchase. On the plus side, staff was pleasant.

Great hotel, but loud

This is a fantastic hotel and superb location, but ambulances were going past with there sirens on very loud all day and especially all night The Metro stop is right there and the Hop on Hop off tour bus stops right in front of the hotel I would definitely recommend this hotel

A great place to stay

The property was very handy to the M, which we used a lot. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Good with directions. Housekeeping did a very good job. The Bartender Jane surprized us with a little cake on our anniversary. Will recommand this property.

Really Nice, Convenient, but Noisy!

This Hotel presents an excellent value for the money. The staff could not be nicer or more helpful. They gave us tips on where to eat and where super-helpful with any question. The hotel is just a short distance to many of the sites we wanted to visit. Unfortunately the hotel has George Washington University Hospital, A Fire Station and a Police Station as neighbors and the siren activity between the three of them was frequent and loud.

Weekned Getaway

The sfaff was great. They were welcoming, polite and accommodating. The room/executive suite is functional. Ammenties are old, like late 80's but if you're there to sleep and/or chill it's great. The location is great. It's a two block walk from the Metro station. Overall, for the half price deal I received, no complaints.
