Most expensive mediocre room I've been n
The room was a bit run down. Nothing extra nice. House keeping forgot to come one day. I actually tried to make the reservation with the hotel, to ensure the view, and they said they couldn't. So I went through [...]. Then the day prior to arrival I called to verify reservation as I was arriving at Midnight. They would not check my reservation for me due to "third party" reservation meaning [...]. So I arrive at midnight and guess what, they do not have my reservation. After 15 minutes, they find something and start checking me in. For $40 more a night, I would go to the Mandarin Oriental, a true luxury hotel.

This was just a one night stay. I did not take advantage of any of the amenities. My reservation was for a king bed but they put me into a two bed suite, when I called the front desk to request a change they immediately accommodated me. I get a much better view.

L'Enfant Plaza Hotel
my only complaint is that I had requested a king bed when I booked the room. My reservation stated a king bed. When we arrived at the room it had two double beds. I called the desk to say there had been a mistake and was told they don't guarantee the bed. I found that an excuse for their error.

Nice Experience
Spacious rooms, lovely lobby, great room service for breakfast, good restaurant, excellent service. This is our second time staying at this hotel and we would definitely stay there again.

I was at an in-hotel conference while my wife saw the DC sights for several days. We casually asked to switch room types (one bed to two) and got almost a suite: corner room with wet bar, microwave, fridge, and a six person conference/dining table! Shame we didn't use any of it. The concierge was quite adept at those tourist-type questions, even "refusing" to give directions to Phillips Seafood nearby because so many guests had complained afterwards.

Great Location for Washington DC Visitor
We had a tourist itenerary. The Metro is right outside the door. Easy to get around. The Hotel is clean, first class and delightful to stay in. There are two types of parking: self-serve and valet. Choose the self-serve it is cheaper. We took the bus the entire four days we were visiting DC.The car stayed in the parking lot.

Great location, very clean hotel
Location, location, location! The L'enfant plaza metro is located right underneath the hotel! Rooms are clean, had a great view of the waterfront from the room. Only thing I have to complain about is the lack of good channels on the TV. We wanted to watch US open tennis but they didn't have ESPN2!
