The only drawback to this hotel were prices for food in first floor restaurant and soda/goodies in the first floor convenience store. Our room rates averaged like $90 a day I think because congress just finished session.I think the regular price
was around $200/day and the room was up to that caliber. Two blocks to Union Station where food court offered very reasonable
prices & very good food and plenty of variety. Also;two blocks in opposite direction is the capital.Lots of things to see in walking distance or a short cab ride. All staff and employees were very friendly and courteous. We would go back there in a moment!!
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Entertainment seemed the best category for Smithsonian. Four days wasn't enough time to take in as much as we wanted. It's all great to see--you just have to see the things on top of your list.
Great location, near all the museums, monuments, Union Station to take subway, etc. Was only there one night to see baseball game, which stadium wasn't far either. Hotel's valet was around $40, but it was full. Luckily street parking was free
saturday night into sunday, otherwise we would've had to pay at a parking garage.
The location is great, walking distance to most attractions in the historical DC, the Capitol, the White house, the memorials, museums and the monument. Hotel facilities are tog grade and services are excellent. Close promity to Union station in
DC. A bit pricey but comparative and definitely worth it.
We really enjoyed the hotel and the very hospitable staff. Everything was comfortable and clean.
I did have the impression from the description that the breakfast was included, which it is not! It is, however, very good. There is a little
restaurant up the street by Union Station that is also very good and a lot cheaper.
A short walk from the Union Station/Subway and very closeto fine dining. QWe walked to the Capitol for an evening concert and also walked to the Mall. Hallways were very quite which addedto a peacful nights sleep. Cannot wait to
