Capitol Hill hotel with futuristic lobby atrium, amenities for business
The Hyatt Regency Washington's atrium impresses with its high, cascading ceilings and dark wood. The lobby gives an almost futuristic atmosphere to the hotel. Guests can use express check-in computer terminals to skip the reservation line. Unwind with friends or colleagues at Article One Lounge with its community tables and 13 flat-screen televisions. Guests escape from D.C. politics at the heated indoor lap pool covered by skylights and surrounded by greenery.

Excellent family hotel
Stayed with my 3 children on Saturday night. Good connecting rooms, friendly staff, convenient for the Capitol and Smithsonian and excellent value.

easy walking to Smithsonians
This location was wonderful for seeing DC's treasures. It was an easy walk to all the Smithsonian Museums and close to the Capitol. The swimming pool was warm and clean, and the hotel's food was superb.

Noisy laundry crew kept this from being the perfect stay
This hotel would be perfect for a stay in DC except that the laundry crew is pushing their carts down the halls at all hours of the night. It sounded like they were having races and was like trying to sleep next to a roller coaster. One other small gripe is that this is the only hotel I have stayed at in the last 3 years that didn't have free WiFi.

rip off
The hotel room was amazingly inexpensive. I wondered why this was, I found out when I got there. Litteraly it cost me over $100.00 just to walk in the door not counting my room. This was for Parking and tips. I spent so much money at the hotel I could barely go out and see the sights. room service is extremely expensive with a ham sandwich being $15 plus 4.95 to bring to your room 21% gratuity and sales tax. Renting a movie in your room will run you close to $18. The staff was very nice but always and I do mean always had there hands out. I would never stay at another hyatt. If you have tons of money to blow this is the place to go.

Business and pleasure.
The hotel was convenient to the capital for us. The staff were friendly and courteous. Then food was some of the best we've had at a hotel. The wait staff were tremendous. We would stay here again and recommend it.

Great location, but.......
The staff -- porters, valet service, restarurant staff, check in, and maids were very friendly.The rooms were nicely decorated with an outstanding view but the beds were too small, no microwave, no refrigerator the pillows were awful and no FREE WIFI The parking was outrageous --- FORTY FIVE dollars a day to park in the hotels garage. There were no amenities for the price we were paying to stay.--- we should have received breakfast or parking, or wif freei. You could walk to the national mall if you wanted to. the capital building could be seen from the hote.

Seamless check-in

Good Price very clean!
Hotel is convenient to Metro and Capitol. Rooms are very clean and mattresses are comfortable. Nice facilities for swimming and exercise.

Good deal
The hotel had a perfect offer for me: stay 2 nights, 3rd night free, plus breakfast buffet. The only downside, as another reviewer wrote, is the lack of parking and the stiff $45/night valet fees. Also, they mean it that you have to REQUEST fresh bath linens; otherwise, the towels remain where you put them. Ours, hanging on the back of the bathroom door, were still damp by the evening. Overall, though, it was a good deal for a perfect location on Capitol Hill.
