Great Location

The hotel was great and near everything. Parking at the hotel was $41 a day. I couldn't find anywhere this was listed so I thought that I would let people know. Would stay here again.

I stayed here on Sunday night for a Monday morning conference. Because it was Sunday night, the price was significantly reduced and a great value.

Hyatt Regency - Washington, DC

Great place to stay for sightseeing in Wash, DC. Located steps to US Capitol/National Mall. Walking distance to Chinatown/shops. Short cab ride to Georgetown. Beautiful hotel with great food, although rather pricey. Excellent plus to take advantage of free breakfast passes. This saved the day regarding food expenses. Would have liked parking facilities ($41 per night valet parking only - I paid $32 for 4 days at a local indoor lot.) Overall, I would recommend & definitely stay here again.

Good location

Quiet rooms, comfortable beds. Nice breakfast buffet. Good location for seeing the sights. Just 3-4 blocks from the Capitol. 10 -15 minute walk to most museums. We saw 4 of the Smithsoneons plus two more museums. You would want to take a cab to the Holocaust Museum as it is just a bit out of walking distance....especially after walking all week and walking in each museum. There are not very many restaurants or bars in the immediate area, so we had to eat/drink before heading back to the hotel. There are many options within 8-10 blocks though. I didn't mind the walk and only used a cab the night it rained. Clean and beautiful city. I would consider staying there again! Be sure to wear your most comfortable tennis shoes. You will get very tired feet, but it is worth it! Most people who live in DC had on tennis shoes or flip flops while walking to the Metro after work. It is a true walking town.

Location, location, location

This is one of the busiest hotels in D.C. due to its location just steps from the Capitol. It is a great place to stay if you have business or an event on the Hill. It is well-staffed and efficiently run, for the most part. Maid service was a little on-and-off, but nothing too major(short a towel twice and a glass once). If you don't like noise, ask for a room away from elevators, ice machines and housekeeping stations - all of which were exceedingly loud here.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There are probably 30+ eating options within 1 to 4 blocks - and at all price levels, from the food court inside Union Station (most vendors there take cash only) to pricey steak and seafood restaurants, one of which happens to be in the hotel lobby.

Great centrally located hotel

Hotel and staff were great. Location was wonderful, close to most things we did. Negative - $48.00 per night for parking is too much!

good value for the price, some amenities needed

friendly staff, nice location, but there were no fitted sheets for the king size beds which gets pretty annoying when you wake up on a bare mattress. No vending machines, so take pick up your snacks/water bottles at the cafe on the corner.
