Great for Business or Pleasure
We were there on business. The staff was superb, accommodating and caring. Food was delicious, especially after a day of meetings. We work long hours, so it's nice to be able to finally relax in a quiet, spacious, clean room with great food and good help nearby. For sightseeing, this hotel is ideally located. We took a 5 minute walk to the Capitol Building. Everything else is within minutes by car. Thanks, Hyatt, for making our stay predictably enjoyable and comfortable.

Location, Location, Location
The hotel was amazing and in the perfect location. If you walk out front and turn to the right, you are looking right at the capital building and it's a stunning view at night. Nice (pricey) restaurant/bar on premises, plus a gift shop that sells (very pricey) alcohol and Starbucks coffee (though there's a full starbucks right by the hotel). Don't expect a view of the Capital building as I think there are very few rooms that have this.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
1) Bring your own alcohol if you want any. 6 packs of beer in the lobby START at $20 for Sam Adams. 2) Parking at the hotel was $52 per night. Parking at Union Station, maybe 1/4 mile away, was $22 per day (broken down to smaller amounts for under 7 hours). It's a bit of a walk, but with a wheeled suitcase, it's no biggie.

Washington,DC Trip
Location was great as we could walk to all parts of city. Staff was very helpful in answering our questions and helping to plan our days schedule. Recommeded some great restaruants that were very reasonable. Parking is expensive $45.00 a day but this is Washington.

Great Location...Parking Cost Surprise
The locations was great, the room clean and comfortable but received a surprise when went to check out and there was a charge of over $40.00 for one night parking in the hotel parking garage. This was in addition to what was already given to the person who parked our car!

Don't depend on a GPS to get around in D.C. It just does not work...guess there are too many electronic blockers in the city.

Beautiful hotel in great location
Luxurious hotel right near Capitol Hill. It's great location is less than a 5 minute short walk to Union Station, the hub of transportation and tours around DC. The staff are attentive and responsive, and the food at the restaurants is excellent. The best feature is the comfortable pillow top bed which made falling asleep so easy.

Great experience!!
Loved everything! Ordered room service and it can get quite pricey. However, the staff made sure I knew the gratuity was included. Which I loved! The steak was the best I have ever eaten!! Great hotel. Would definitely go back!!
