A welcomed change from the cookie-cutter
Great receptive staff. Outside decor is historic in nature. Inside is uniquely decorated. Rooms were clean, but hallway on floor appeared a little dark - not sure if due to lack of lighting or color schemes? Expensive as far as hotels go, but in comparison to nearby hotels, it was the best bargin at 50% the price.

Nice hotel and good value for money
I was uncertain about booking this hotel, because it was about half the price of the other hotels in the area. However, I am delighted to say that I really enjoyed my stay, and that it is well worth the money. The rooms aren't large, and the bathroom is a little cramped. However, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the room had everything one needs. My only complaint was that the was quite a lot of traffic noise -at about 04:30 - trucks reversing etc., but that is just a function of being in the middle of city.

Unbeatable location for the price
Close to the Whitehouse, museum and other tourist attractions which is why we were there. The nearest metro was down for upkeep for the weekend which created some added planning;however, it was easily doable. In addition, the annual Worldbank conference was in town creating many street closures ... again all doable and not the norm. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful.
