Charming hotel, would stay again
This is a charming boutique hotel, reasonably priced and located w/in reasonable walking distance of Metro, White House, National Mall, etc. I was initially concerned it would be loud because it is on a busy street and not far from a nightclub but it was quiet in the later evening and we slept very well. We will definitely stay again! Our trip was a long weekend and with easy metro access we were able to get all over the city in short order. If you enjoy walking (we do) the trek to the National Mall is very pleasant and you could spend your entire weekend there.

Long walk from hotel
If you eat meat at all, even occasionally, you must try Fogo de Chao. It is legendary and reputation is deserved. It is a long walk from the hotel but only a couple of minutes if you take a cab.

sisterly trip
This is my first time in DC. We booked this hoel because it is close to the University where the conference was. The hotel is one of the historic buildings in DC and it is very cozy and clean. The hotel staffs are courteous, friendly, and always available to assist us. The hotel is in close vicinity to the bus stop, airport, George Town, and the National Mall. We strongly recommend this hotel!

We have stayed at this hotel twice
We have stayed at this hotel twice and love it. Whenever in Washington we wil stay here. You can walk to the White House, Lincoln Memorial etc. It is not far to Georgetown - great for shopping and eating. But the real charm is the hotel itself -we love it.

Wonderful couple getaway with charm and comfort
This old elegant hotel is situated in an excellent location, close to all the major sites and public transportation. It has been nicely updated with modern amenities while it maintains its old ambiance and charm. Our room was small but quiet and impeccably clean. The staff was extremely polite and efficient. This was our second stay and we are happy to recommend this hotel without reservations.
