excellent location for American University
We choose this hotel due to it's proximity to American University. The area is good - just a short walk to several inexpensive restaurants for dinner. Shuttle service to American University was very convenient and helpful. The rooms could use a sprucing up and renovation.

Visit with son in College
Everything about hotel was fine Except that I was shocked to learn that I had to pay an additional $30 pert day just to be allowed to park my car. I have never heard of such a thing. In the future, I will never assume anything.

Nice and clean
I book this hotel two day before I go. It is nice and the staff is very friendly. They can answer all my question and give me an advise how to get around the DC., The room is clean and the hot water is hot and the air condition is cool but a little bit noise. The reason I give 4 stars is because I need to paid 30 dollar for the parking. it add up to almost 200 per night. That is little bit over the value.

Great Location
My hotel stay with my family was very pleasant. The check-in and check-out were very easy and friendly. the front desk staff provided good and accurate information regarding good places to eat. The drivers from the courtesy shuttles were very informative and pleasant, almost felt like we were getting our own private tour of some of the landmarks we passed along the way. We also stayed an extra night and was very convenient and fast to book another night after having already checked out. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would return to stay again.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Recommend Steak & Egg for breakfast or lunch and Chadwick's for lunch or dinner. Chadwick's is more of a bar/restaurant setting.

Standard Hotel
This hotel has a nicely appointed lobby, the check-in staff was attentive. The room was pretty standard, but I appreciated the down comforter and soft linens. Free wireless was a nice bonus, as was the fold-out couch in the room. Nothing super special about the room, but a comfortable and quiet place to sleep while touring Georgetown and downtown.

Nice place for the money
I thought it was a nice place, I do think all rooms should include a small fridge. I found the hotel clean and the workers were curtious.

Regretful that I chose this hotel
disappointed
Where do I start. I was expecting a higher degree of hotel especially being in Georgetown. Let me say it this way when you see the hotel from the outside it gives you the appearance it was nice but once you went inside it was a total different story. For the price and being a Holiday Inn I was very disappointed. The employees of the hotel were for the most part were nice. There were a few that made you wondered if they even cared about their job. Our room in general was clean but if you looked closer, like if you dropped something on the floor, you would see the dirt that made you wondered if they even cleaned the floors. They did not respond when you requested additional items or replaced supplies that were used up during our stay. Then to it off they want to charge for parking which should be included in the price. The best thing of the hotel was the gift shop and that is sad. When I mentioned we were staying in Georgetown, our friends were that hotel will be nice, wait until they hear.
