Holiday Inn WASHINGTON-CENTRAL/WHITE HOUSE

This holiday inn is ideally located in the central dc. We did not have any problem getting to places. Food at the restaurant in the lobby floor is terrible. Bad presentation and too salty. Staff in the lobby are horrible. Unfriendly and short tempered. I don't understand why they are working in service providing job. They were easily irritated and gave us attitude.

The staff were very helpful, the sunset from the rooftop pool was beautiful and best of all no bedbugs!!!

This was a really nice hotel... you could tell it was old, but not run down, with a lot of charm. We never made it up to the pool, but I'm sure it was a great view. The room service/cleanliness was amazing and they really did a great job each day. I loved the location too, you are close to several Metro stations and only about 15 min walk from the Smithsonians. I was there on business at NIH, so the Red Line was easy for me, my husband was there for fun and so gallivanted around the city during the day, and we would find a new adventurous place for dinner each night. Plenty of great food options within a 10 min walk, and a Whole Foods close by too. (LOGANtavern, Black's Pearl Dive, and Veranda were our favorites for dining) The staff were always friendly and helpful. The internet was a little slow and frustrating. The only thing that was missing was a fitness center, but to be honest I didn't have time to go to one, and the walking was great exercise :)

No complaints. It fullfilled our wishes. I don't have anything more to say.

This hotel is located in the heart of the city, you are a short walk away from the white house and the national mall, and very close to great restaurants. The hotel seems fairly new and is very clean. The staff is extremely nice and helpful too.

Hotel was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You can walk to the Mall..closet subway station was ~ 4 blocks. Dupont Circle was 5 blocks.

My husband and I visited Washington on vacation the first week in June. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Central/White House. The hotel is 4-5 blocks from either the McPherson Square or Dupont Circle Metro stops. The staff was very polite and helpful. The rooms were clean and quiet and the beds were very comfortable. We had no issues with noise which was especially surprising since our room was directly across from the elevators. I would definitely return to this hotel when visiting Washington in the future.

the Holiday Inn is an average hotel. Very clean, nice staff, food was great quality. 2 miles from the mall and an easy daily walk back and forth. Metro station is 1/4 to 1/2 mile away for the lazy. the rate is 50% of the rate clsoer to the mall. walkd past the District Hotel (our first [...]choice for "cheap") However this is a real dive. Curtains hanging out of the window, paper covering some windows, very trashy looking outside.

We liked the location especially well it is not touristy but there are attractions nearby, some well known - (The National Geographic Museum, St Matthews Church) and some not so well known - (the Foundry Church etc.). It is well worth the short walk to the metro stations to stay in this neighborhood. It is a neighborhood mostly of locals and local restaurants, and there are a wide variety of restaurants nearby. The two metro stations give you access to three metro lines which is very handy. In a seven day period we were able to see just about everything we had planned to see and we traveled only on foot or by metro. I have stayed at other hotels in D.C. but I do prefer this one. As for the hotel staff, we found them to be friendly, helpful, and pleasant.
