Close to the museums

The hotel was one block from the museums. Near the capitol and Lincoln monument. There are two restaurants inside of the hotel that were good. It is an average room, however the cleaning staff was in and out in a timely manner.

Just OK for the price...........

Overall the place was pretty average. It's older and shows that way and the front desk staff was cold and unwelcoming. Food was a bit pricey for the quality. The most interesting event occurred during check-in. I was told the room we reserved had sleeping capacity for only four even though the reservation we placed clearly stated we had five people staying at the hotel. How does that happen?? The manager was quick to resolve this issue without trying to charge me the extra fee for a cot which the Front Desk person tried to do.

don't trust the concierge

The concierge will only tell you what benefits them, so if it is a specific restaurant or tour, don't trust what they say

Nice for the price (without the spiders)

The check in and check out were quick and efficient. The room appeared clean and the daily cleaning and supply of towels and bath supplies were appreciated. It was convenient to the museums and other places of interest and the Metro station was close. The dining facilities was lacking in taste and variety and there were not a lot of other places to eat which were close. My biggest complaint was spiders in the room especially the bathroom. No webs that I could see but spiders in the tub and on the floor, and one on the bed. I hated that.

Great location, fine hotel

This hotel is in a great location near the National Mall and the metro. Conveniently, has a few restaurant options and Starbucks. Room is average but clean. I have stayed in this hotel a number of times because of the great location. The fitness room needs work and usually only one treadmill is working - however, this visit none of the treadmills were working.

Little brothers sr trip

Upon arrival, everything was chaotic. I booked our room months in advance. Apparently that did not matter. We had to change rooms three times due to staff miscomunication. Our final room was not clean. We had to wait for it to get clean. Our checkin time was 3:00 (we arrived at the hotel at 10:00 am mind you after a long flight). We didnt get our room until 6:00. They apologized. After that first hectic day, things went better. Overall, the location was not bad, and the rooms were clean. The housekeepers were nicer than the people at the front desk. We didnt get to enjoy the rooftop pool because of the high volume of people. I would stay there again. It wasnt completely unpleasant.
