Downtown hotel near the National Mall, museums and monuments
The Holiday Inn Washington-Capitol is in a prime location for visitors who want to be close to the Capitol Hill, National Mall and museums. Two Metro stations are nearby. Many rooms have microwaves and mini fridges. Kids eat for free at the on-site restaurant. The hotel lounge features live music. Cool off or relax by the seasonal rooftop pool and take in the view of the Capitol.

Great Location
The Holiday Inn - Washington-Capitol was very comfortable, the king size bed was comfy and I liked the fact we were given several different pillows to choose from. The on site restaurant had a great breakfast buffet. But best of all was the location - just a block from the Air & Space Museum and easy walking distance to all the museums and monuments.

Great location
Great location for seeing the Smithsonians, Capitol, and Monuments, only a 2 block walk. Also close to the new ball park.

Great location, nice hotel.
This inexpensive (for DC) hotel is in a great location, 1.5 blocks from the L'Enfant Plaza Metro station, and easy walking distance to most Smithsonian museums. Room was spacious and very clean. Plenty of storage space. Hotel staff were friendly. Very nice restaurant. No wireless internet access, and wired access was slow. It was nioce to have a refrigerator. An inexpensive microwave oven, which would easily fit on top of the refrigerator, would be a nice addition.

Good deal for the price
The Holiday Inn White House was comfortable and affordable. Kids eat free and they have a nice outdoor rooftop pool which is rare in D.C.Casual but with nice amenities in a very business oriented city.

Location and Value
The Holiday Inn-Washington DC Capitol was ideal for our family. First of all, it's located very close to tons of attractions and sites. We could walk to dozens of things, including the Capitol, , the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, Union Station, the White House, many Smithsonian museums and the Holocaust Museum. This alone, made our stay at the Holiday Inn-Capitol very worthwhile. The hotel also featured a very polite, friendly and helpful staff that kept the place clean and effeciently run. The rooms were not huge, but big enough. There are also three restaurants and a Starbucks located in the hotel, all featuring different levels of cost. Plus, our rate was very competitive. I recommend this hotel to anyone touring our nation's capitol. Plus, I think this hotel's elevators are the world's fastest to respond to the button.

good hotel staff very nice and helpful
the hotel room itself was adequate, nothing fancy, but it had everything you needed. great location, close to cvs pharmacy, walking distance to most monuments and attractions. Hotel management and staff very good, and helpful. We had a 6 month old baby and needed extra blanket for crib. They went to target and got one.

Hotel Summary
This hotel was comfortable and fine for the week I was visiting. Noise levels were high in terms of echo in the halls and house keeping was loud. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was small for the size of the hotel and due to the hot weather too crowded. Location to Washington DC attractions was excellent. This was a good place for families to stay. Cost for a family was good. Single or adult couples wanting something a little more upscale would not want to stay here. The parking situation was poor. Not enough spaces identified for the hotel alone. Parking employees were very rude and very unfriendly. All other employees were very friendly, helpful and tried to make my stay a good experience. Housekeeping was very friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. They asked first. All in all the place was fine and I would recommend it especially for families on a budget.
