Historic Henley

Washington DC is a wonderful vacation distination. It was good that we did not spend much time at the hotel. The room was very small and there was not any room to put our clothes in drawers or in the closet for that matter. Understanding this is a historic hotel one would expect some less than modern amenities however this hotel has not had any updating. The airflow was bad and all around very disappointing.

Very good value

Almost everything about our overnight stay at the Henley Park in Washington, DC was perfect. It was inconvenient that they did not have soda machines, but because we only stayed one night, it was doable. The toiletries supplied by the hotel were really first-rate, and both the bedroom and bath were very generously sized rooms. Altogether, an enjoyable stay. We would book there again.

Beautiful hotel, great location

Excllent hotel. Only stayed one night, but was astonished by the large size of the room, considering it's in the heart of D.C. just steps away from the White House. Staff was very courteous. Admittedly, a bit pricey... but definitely worth it!

Great DC Hotel!

I was shocked to book this room last minutes at such a great rate and feared it was going to be in a terrible location and filthy. To my pleasant surprise, this hotel could not have been better. It is extremely charming and its history is felt without it being dingy. It has been well kept and quite immaculate even. Rooms aren't spacious, but quite adequate for travel. The location is great being walking distance from Metro Center underground stop, which is convenient for most DC locations. We even skipped the Metro and walked to the Holocaust Museum which brought us right by a lot of the heart of DC. I highly recommend this hotel. Also, we arrived first thing in the morning after a cross country red eye flight and the front desk was extremely accomidating.

quiet hideaway

The hotel is in a decent location a bit of a walk to the metro but not bad. The rooms were on the small side but well looked after. The staff were very professional. Hoever the resturant was not impressive the food was over priced and not that great plus the wait staff seamed like they didn't want us there.

Great location

Although the hotel is located on a busy street, the room was very quite and relaxing after a long day of taking in the sights. The hotel is old but in great condition. We loved the old world style of the hotel and it is in walking distance to many DC attractions. Our room was on the small side but very clean and well appointed. For us it was perfect as we spent most of our time sight seeing and spending little time at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Best kept secret

A refreshing break from cookie cutter hotels. Originally built as apartments which were often home to Congressmen when in Washington. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms are each unique and do run on the small side. Not the best choice for families with young children, no pool, upscale restaurant and lounge area best reserved for adults.
