Upscale hotel for business or pleasure in the heart of DC
Located in DC's hip Penn quarter, the Grand Hyatt Washington is an elegant option for both business and leisure travelers. Five excellent restaurants and bars offer guests a host of dining options. A full-service fitness center and sauna, pool and steam rooms are onsite, and massage therapy and personal trainers are available. There is also a game room and dance floor in the Grand Slam Café, as well as two gift shops, a florist, on-site laundry, dry cleaning and a valet service. City Segway Tours is an absolute must! Perfect way to see most of the major sites, w/o all the walking. There is a Sports Bar/restaurant in the hotel. We tried to get into the The ESPNZone a few blocks away at about 9:30 pm on a Sunday night and we were told it would be a 3 Hr wait!

Organized and efficient
The Grand Hyatt location allowed for easy pick up for tours of the city. The Breakfast buffet was pleasant. Hotel staff were personable and helpful. Valet parking ran well.

At the Center of it All
The Grand Hyatt Washington was a beautiful destination stop on a trip that took us from North Carolina to Michigan. The hotel was gorgeous inside and out and the room was appointed very well with all the comforts needed for a short stay. But what I liked the most was the location of this hotel. It was at the center of it all in regards to all the attractions that my family wanted to see! Location coupled with a metro subway that put even the farthest attraction at our finger tips was absolutly a must considering that we only had two days to take in all the beauty of our nations capital. I will be back in the future to visit when I have more time to stay. We had a great time.

Comfortable beds, nice and clean
Very clean, comfortable and ideal location. Very friendly staff. Our room was away from the elevators, so we couldnt hear it. But obviously had to walk some distance everytime. Paid Internet at a hotel in the 21st century? Next to the metro train stop.

You can take a train, if you dont want walk the distance. But you still have to walk in DC

Great hotel for a vacation with kids
Overall, a great value. My family really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay there again. The direct access to the Metro subway system was a huge positive. This hotel is close to most of the major tourist attractions in D.C.

Great hotel, location
This is a beautiful hotel, well located to the Mall and museums. Very helpful staff. Clean, comfortable room, plenty of linens, elevators at the ready all the time.

Metro station access in hotel was convenient. Staff member gave us directions and help. The only negative comment was for happy hour wine tasting. The snacks were pickled vegetables--no cheese, wings, or tapas type food. For $12 each, we expected more.

Very nice hotel
Just what I would expect from a hotel in this price range. Nice to have underground access to the Metro. I was in town to see the DC sites with the family. Three blocks to Ford Theater and four more to the Mall. After walking around the mall, we toured the capital, nice to ride the metro back to the hotel!
