Upscale hotel for business or pleasure in the heart of DC
Located in DC's hip Penn quarter, the Grand Hyatt Washington is an elegant option for both business and leisure travelers. Five excellent restaurants and bars offer guests a host of dining options. A full-service fitness center and sauna, pool and steam rooms are onsite, and massage therapy and personal trainers are available. There is also a game room and dance floor in the Grand Slam Café, as well as two gift shops, a florist, on-site laundry, dry cleaning and a valet service. Grand Hyatt Washington is within walking distance of the Smithsonian Institution (including the National Museum of Natural History) and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. Visitors can take a stroll through Georgetown and experience American history, explore the Eastern Market or embark on a tour of historic US memorials, monuments and museums.

Hotel was very nice and staff was excellent. Walls are a little thin, you could hear toilet flushing from next door and the guests laughing and talking

Convenient to Washington Hospital Center
Very nice hotel. Excellent price. Beautiful room. Very clean and comfortable. Restaurant had excellent food but was a bit pricey. I guess the room price made up for the food price.

Just an Engineer
Great Location for Everything D.C.
World Class hotel located within walking distance of everything DC. (The Capitol is about 1.5 miles away, but very walkable). Pictures on the Hotel web site don't do it justice. Much nicer than it looks in the pictures. 15 minutes from Reagan Airport to Metro Center subway station, which is accessible to the hotel lobby without going outside, for $2.

The Caucus Room for fantastic steaks. Expensive ($35-$50 for the main course), but fantastic. Expect $100+ per person if you're ordering drinks or wine.

THE HYATT WILL TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY..IT IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL..THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY..AND THE LOCATION IS GREAT...YOUR ARE 3 BLOCKS FROM F STREET/CHINA TOWN AND TONS OF GOOD EATING PLACES AND STORES...THE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE HYATT CURE RESTAURANT...$40 PLUS FOR SOUP AND A TASTELESS POT-PIE THAT WE SHARED...IT WAS A RIP-OFF AND THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE...THE DELI AND OTHER RESTAURANT WERE CLOSED OVER THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS..THE COFFEESHOP ALSO HAD LOUSY HOURS EVEN THOUGH THE PLACE SEEMED BUSY TO ME...THE METRO IS RIGHT AT THE HOTEL...WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND WOULD GO BACK...JUST EAT YOUR MEALS ELSEWHERE

At the Center of it All
The Grand Hyatt Washington was a beautiful destination stop on a trip that took us from North Carolina to Michigan. The hotel was gorgeous inside and out and the room was appointed very well with all the comforts needed for a short stay. But what I liked the most was the location of this hotel. It was at the center of it all in regards to all the attractions that my family wanted to see! Location coupled with a metro subway that put even the farthest attraction at our finger tips was absolutly a must considering that we only had two days to take in all the beauty of our nations capital. I will be back in the future to visit when I have more time to stay. We had a great time.

Great hotel
Our stay at the Grand Hyatt Washington was fanatstic. It was in the perfect location within walking distance to all the major attractions and a central train station below the hotel. We didn't have to walk even one block to get to the local Starbucks as they have one inside the hotel. The rooms very spacious and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable.

Great place
Grand Hyatt was very well located for New Yorkers who take Chinatown Bus to visit Washington D.C. because it was just 4 blocks away from the Chinatown in D.C. where the buses have their last stop. The room and the bathroom are large and clean. The big window that opens gives sunshine and fresh air. The indoor patio of the hotel is pleseant. Evrything is just perfect.

Central for Business Traveller

Good D.C. Location
The Grand Hyatt is just 5 minutes from Pennsylvania Ave. and key sites. Just 2-3 blocks from the Ford Theater, and 5-6 from White House. The hotel entrance and public areas are well maintained, but the rooms are dated and need a face lift.

Congenial staff
This is one of our all time favorite stops. We love D.C. and all it has to offer. The location of the Grand Hyatt is perfect. Staff was congenial and professional. The food was excellent--we enjoyed two morning brunches. The room was clean and very comfortable. We plan to return soon.
