Located in DC's hip Penn quarter, the Grand Hyatt Washington is an elegant option for both business and leisure travelers. Five excellent restaurants and bars offer guests a host of dining options. A full-service fitness center and sauna, pool and steam rooms are onsite, and massage therapy and personal trainers are available. There is also a game room and dance floor in the Grand Slam Café, as well as two gift shops, a florist, on-site laundry, dry cleaning and a valet service. Great location!
Our check-in was quick and easy. I loved the location of this hotel. The Metro subway was downstairs which proved to be a great thing on this rainy weekend. When the weather cleared it was within easy walking distance to lots of area attractions. We enjoyed an afternoon treat at Cure where our bartender educated us on various drinks. The room was beautiful and our view of the atrium was breathtaking. Definitely would recommend this hotel for others!

The Metro rail can take you anywhere you want to go in the city and is located downstairs within the hotel. You can walk to numerous area attractions easily from this location.

Unbeatable location for the price
Very nice room and hotel itself. Great location too. Breakfast was not included in room price and was expensive ($20 per person per meal) but a Starbucks and deli in the hotel so very convenient. Very satisfied with stay, and would recommend to others.

Very Good Rates
The room we got was near the elevators and it was noisy pretty much all of the time. The new restaurant in the hotel was also very disappointing. However, the location was perfect for our sightseeing, and the staff was very helpful.

weekend stay
Easy drive to and from with parking. The pool was in the basement, small and crowded. Easy walk to the National Mall and museums. Family restaurant near by, Hyatt pricey for breakfast for a family. Having the Metro stop at the hotel a plus, a few minutes to Union Station.

Exceptional location and service
Our first three days were vacation and the next five were business. It was ablsolutely the best hotel experience we have ever encountered. The bell men stored and retrieved our tandem bicycle allowing us to ride it to the monuments in DC. The person who checked us in accomodated my request to use both a personal credit card and a business card for the stay. The entire staff from the concierge to wait staff were extremely friendly, capable and helpful. The location couldn't have been better for seeing Washington DC or the conference I attended. Wonderful trip.

Enjoyed the stay. The location is great. DC metro station is located in the basement of the hotel. This makes commuting very easy. The staff is friendly and willing to help with all your needs.

Quite an experience
The room was comfortable but a bit small. It was well lit and appointed in a functional way. The hotel staff were quite willing to help and were definitely friendly (though the housekeeping was a bit persistent). My main complaint is that there is only one bank of elevators. Many times I had to wait through more than one up and down trip to get in a car that wasn't full. In addition, many of the rooms (nearly half), are on the other side of the hotel, from the elevators, necessitating quite a walk at times, to and from.

You're right by the National Mall, so you're blocks from enjoying great attractions. In addition, the Metro Center metro stop is beneath the hotel and connects to the Red, Yellow, and Green lines.

fantastic location for a great price
The hotel and its staff were wonderful!! We got a lot of bang for our buck. We paid extra in the package for breakfast and it was worth it. Also, we got a complimentary mini food basket. The beds made me feel like I was floating, they were so comfortable. The hotel location was superb! It is within walking distance of the mall and the white house. Plus there's a metro stop right in the bottom of the hotel. I'd stay here again!!
