Upscale hotel for business or pleasure in the heart of DC
Located in DC's hip Penn quarter, the Grand Hyatt Washington is an elegant option for both business and leisure travelers. Five excellent restaurants and bars offer guests a host of dining options. A full-service fitness center and sauna, pool and steam rooms are onsite, and massage therapy and personal trainers are available. There is also a game room and dance floor in the Grand Slam Café, as well as two gift shops, a florist, on-site laundry, dry cleaning and a valet service. Grand Hyatt Washington is within walking distance of the Smithsonian Institution (including the National Museum of Natural History) and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. Visitors can take a stroll through Georgetown and experience American history, explore the Eastern Market or embark on a tour of historic US memorials, monuments and museums.

Excellent hotel
This is a great place to stay and is conveniently located to most of the major sites. Also there are restaurants close by and the hotel has 3 excellent restaurants inside it. The trolley bus stop is right next to the hotel and hence is all the more convenient if you have the 2 day pass. Parking is expensive with the hotel but you can do public opposite to the hotel which is $10 for the day and $8/day on the weekends.

Worth the name
This hotel was very resonable for the value. We even found off street parking which allowed us to save a few more bucks. Great location, nice open sky and spacious lobby.

Wonderful hotel
Nice hotel lobby and rooms. Courteous staff. Near to everything. The Soda machines at every floor did not work though - small deal in the whole picture.

Family DC Sightseeing/Museum Trip
I traveled with 3 children, ages 6-9. We loved this hotel! Highlights included the flatscreen TV, pool, breakfast buffet alongside the water, sportsbar with Wii and complimentary movie. The staff of the hotel were very friendly and kind to the children. Starbucks was a big plus!!

We walked to White House, Smithsonian Museums, Spy Museums, China Town, Washington Memorial and great restaurants including Hard Rock. This is a great location for sightseeing and museums!!
