Beautiful hotel, amazing location.

If you can get a good deal, stay here. The hotel is beautiful, centrally located to everything DC has to offer, and steps away from two metro stations!

Quick Weekend Getaway

Great location! Hotel was right in the middle of downtown and even had a metro stop leading directly into the hotel. Great dinning and shopping located right outside the door.Relatively short distance to many of the museums and monuments.Recently remodeled, featured a great updated lobby.

Amazing getaway!

The Grand Hyatt was an amazing place to stay for a weekend of site seeing in Washington DC. The staff was friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure that we were happy with our room and the hotel amenities. The hotel just underwent renovations and it is beautiful! The fact that you can catch the Metro from the hotel was a bonus and it is within walking distance of all of the major sites and great restaurants. We will definitely stay there again when we go back to DC!

perfect location, wonderful hotel!

We had a wonderful visit here. The location just doesn't get any better. Within walking distance to so many favorite and familiar sites in the city and it literally is on top of Metro Center. We got dropped off at our front door regardless of where we ventured to. The only trouble (an it was really minor) was that it was a little difficult to control the air conditioning...but that could be because I never figured it out and never bothered to ask.

The hotel was beautiful and in a very central area to many of the monuments, musuems, resturaunts, and shops. I recommend going during the week because there are tons less tourists, and its cool to see a capital city in motion. You don't need a car to get around. Everything is in walking distance and there are plenty of bike rental kiosks. Get to the monuments early to avoid the crowds. The museums don't open until 10am, so most people aren't out until that time anyway. It's one thing seeing the monuments on TV and in pictures, but it is a completely different experience in person. DC is a very trendy city.. There are many many many resturaunts to choose from, and there are many high end retailers however, the city has a bad homeless population. They're harmless, but after you get asked for money by one of them for the tenth time, it gets annoying. This hotel is also very close to DC's Chinatown. There is always something going on over there (street performers) and there are plenty of Asian and Tex-Mex resturaunts. BUT, it becomes a very different area at night, and I wouldn't recommend venturing in that direction alone at night. Overall, this was a great trip. I would definetly go back again to see the Cherry Blossoms during the spring.

Business Trip

Would recommend Tue, Jul 28, 2015
I was there on business. The location is ideal. I'm not a fan of the architecture, but the rooms are quite comfortable. The coffee experience in the room could be made much better by NOT serving powdered creamer. Half and half would add a lot to this experience. The bell man (Ted) was fantastic.
