Luxurious Comfort

My stay at the Doubletree was wonderful. The room was clean, hotel staff was friendly (especially bartenders!) and accomodating. The location was within a 15 minute walk from Dupont Cirlce (lots of entertainment there) and all the great sites. The only problem was the parking situation. Not being from a city, I didn't assume I would have to pay for parking ($33/night) which is rather expensive for me.

First family trip to DC

The hotel was nice and in a good location for all the walking we did. We had a Jr. Suite so the kids didn't have to share a bed. Unfortunately, the pull out sofa bed was very uncomfortable. The staff was helpful although when we needed more bedding for the pull out, there was no answer to our calls on the "comfort line". We used the fitness center everyday and found it had everything we needed for a good workout. It was a nice place to stay, clean, safe, good location, but we were not overly impressed.

Totally pleased

We spent the weekend visiting family and needed a hotel in the Logan Circle area. Doubletree offered an excellent rate, and the room turned out to be very lovely and comfortable. We would stay there again.

Several reasonably priced casual restaurants on P Street between 14th and 15th, just two blocks from the hotel. Dupont Circle only a ten-minute walk away.

bad start, good finish

Checked in at 12:00 Midnight to find that the room was yet to be ready. I was told that they were a little "short-handed." However, the manager-on-duty was very accommodating. She comped breakfasts for my stay and allowed me a very late check-out. I would say that in general, the staff was very attentive to service details.

Great value

We only stayed a night but were impressed by the staff and the condition of the hotel. The hotel workers were friendly and accommodating. We got there early and were welcomed anyway. They stored our luggage for us while we went sightseeing. Our room was very comfortable and clean. I would definitely go back.

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

You really don't need the sightseeing buses. I enjoyed discovering places on my own. Wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. Try not to carry a bag.It gets heavy after a while.

Great location

We usually are given some delicious, warm chocolate chip cookies at check-in, but not this time, which was disappointing.

There are several restaurants, including a Starbucks, on nearby "P" Street. Also, a Whole Foods Market.

Doubletree DC

We were in DC to sight see and do a marathon. The hotel was fine. Positives were that the beds were very comfortable, and the design was nice in rooms. The room was also clean. Negatives included not having a hair dryer in the room even though their website said they were provided, very small bathrooms, and the rooms themselves werer pretty small. It is centrally located, but you have to walk about 3/4 of a mile to the metro which got to be a long walk everytime you wanted to take the metro. I would look for a hotel that was closer to a Metro station for my next stay.

Doubletree DC nice and comfortable

Rooms are small but comfortable and efficient. Staff are responsive and friendly. Door staff could be improved. Hot, fresh cookies offered at check-in are a nice touch.
