A terrific hideaway in a great neighborhood
A comfortable, convenient and affordable DC property. Staff are welcoming and well-trained. Rooms are spacious and well-equipped, with plenty of electric sockets for all of your gadgets. Huge comfortble bed. Charming neighborhood close to the Metro and good restaurants.

Doubketree Hotel and amenities were average. Had to change rooms because of pungent odor and inoperative television.

Good Cookies
Double Tree Guest Suites is a very clean and comfortable hotel. The staff is friendly and very helpfull. The hotel is only a block away from the Foggy Botom Metro station which made it very easy to get around. if you have a rental car the hotel has valet staff to park for it for you because parking is at a premium in the area. We enjoyed our seven day stay there very much. Oh and when you check in they give each of you the best choclate chip cookies i've ever tasted.

The good & the bad
The room(suite) was quite nice for myself, daughter & 3 grand children but after a long day travelling & visiting, we couldn't enjoy the pool because it was still under repair/inspection until the end of July!

Excellent experience
We came to DC for 9 days on vacation. The Doubletree was in a perfect location -- easy walking distance to Georgetown and a short block from the Metro. The place is next to George Washington University's Medical School, the neighborhood felt safe at almost any hour. The staff was uniformly courteous, helpful, and attentive. Our only disappointment was that the pool was under repairs during our stay.

Directly across from the Doubletree is an Italian restaurant, Notte Bianchi, where the food is decent and the prices not exorbitant.

Lots of space
We picked the hotel because of its location and price. We were only staying for 1 night so we did not take advantage of the kitchen and second room in addition to the bedroom. If we were going to stay for a week it would have had more value for us.

Do not use Google for getting walking directions from this hotel to Georgetown. It will put you on a parkway where there is not sidewalk.

Super close to the metro. Cute neighborhood, felt very safe. Staff very helpful. Kids loved the cookies!!

Good location, reasonable price
Doubletree suites Washington DC was clean, staff were wonderful upon arrival and checking in was a breeze. The location was a big plus. They did not have on site dining but decent restaurants were a short stroll away. The metro was very close and we felt very safe walking around GWU's neighborhood. Our room was clean, roomy with two televisions and a nice king bed. The full kitchen was nice to have. The pool was rather dissappointing; older, very small, not heated and not spotlessly clean.

Great location, great value, great accommodations
My family and I absolutely loved our suite. It was very large, clean and comfortable. The beds were fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was terrific.

Nice to have a Suite
Our stay at the Doubletree Suites Hotel was wonderful. The lobby was cozy and distinguished, the rooms were fairly spacious and the bed was the most comfortable of any hotel we've experienced. It was nice to have a full kitchen, although the bathroom was tiny. There is no restaurant in this hotel, but many local restaurants delivered to the room. And it's just 2 blocks from the Metro station, so getting around Washington was easy.
