Crowne Plaza THE HAMILTON - WASHINGTON DC

Great hotel conveniently located just north of the white house. Stay would have been wonderful, but I was barely able to sleep from the constant sirens and honking throughout the night. The hotels proximity to a fire station, noisy park, and several night clubs created a perfect storm of noise outside our third floor window until almost 2am. If you are staying maybe a higher floor would be more peaceful.

The people were great. The room was very noisy like there was an air compressor always running. Food was good and the outdoor cafe was nice.

NOISY - NOISY - NOISY! Funny smell in hotel like old mold perhaps - Excellent restaurant attached.....if you need sleep, I would recommend somewhere else as the streets are very loud here.

My stay here was just ok. My room door lock malfunctioned and it took FOREVER for someone to come fix and but me in another room. but they came and all is well.

Hotel and room were perfectly adequate - comfortable enough, and no major complaints. Staff could be friendlier though, and also took off points for the temporary reception while renovations were taking place. Room was slightly noisy at night (I'm a light sleeper), and in-room decor a bit tired and could probably do with a freshen up.

Stayed for a night out in DC. Was a perfect location and perfectly satisfactory.

Thought the reservation desk was exceptional. The maid service was wonderful. Room was very comfortable. I didn't like that there was a valet charge of $33 per day that I wasn't told about until after the check-in process was completed. There was no water until 5AM the next morning on the date of our arrival and I didn't know about this until our ride up the elevator with the luggage. The day we left, we had to wait about 20 minutes for our car to be brought around because the valet failed to bring it. (We called for the car about an hour before it was needed.) We had a flight to catch and this could have been a major problem. The restaurant was advertised in the book in the room to be open until 11PM, but they refused to serve us at 10:30PM. All of this said, we really enjoyed our stay. For every problem we encountered, there were many other exceptionally nice and helpful people.

Hotel is in good location but also very noisy location. The weekend we went there must have been 100 kids there visiting which also made it louder but the hotel is pretty nice.

The best thing about this hotel is the location: downtown Washington DC, which means right next to the White House (2 blocks), Washington Monument. If you like going out at night you will find a lot of clubs on the same street.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel THE HAMILTON CP-WASHINGTON DC, WASHINGTON, DC was a good value. We were on the corner of the building so there was a fair amount of street noise and there was a fire station around the corner so there was also a fair amount of siren noise. The hotel was pretty reasonably prices and the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. They did provide one set of earplugs that were on the bed when we arrived but we had 4 people staying in the room (we should have asked for additional ear plugs.) The hotel lobby staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff was less freindly. The location was good, near a metro rail station and near bus stops. Walking distance to the National Mall at about 8+ blocks.
