all around good place

The Hamilton Crowne Plaza Hotel was very clean and neat. The beds were very comfortable. It does not have free high speed internet access, which was disappointing. Most cheap hotels have it. The room wasn't exactly large, but for one person it was acceptable. If there were 2 people in this room, it would have been tight. I would like to have seen another table or so for your things. The location was excellent, near the Metro(subway)and various restaurants Overall, I liked this hotel, but like most hotels in Washington, D.C., they are a bit expensive.

nice for business traveler

The Crowne Plaza is a nice place to stay because of it's location. It's only one block from the Metro Rail station at McPherson Square. The room was very comfortable but the bathroom a little small. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and the staff is extremely helpful and pleasant.

Nice Accommodations

The room was very nice. It was a good size, well decorated and very comfortable. Besides the important necessities, it had lots of little things: night light, clips to hold the drapes closed; women's only floor. It was conveniently right on the route for the circulator bus. Staff was very polite and friendly. Someone was always there at the front door to open it for you and greet you.

location location

Location was perfect, just 1 block from train station and few blocks from White House. Staff helpful with finding tourist and dinner options. We were one parent and 3 kids traveling, w/ 2 double beds and we did fine! Rooms were average in size for downtown city hotel. Property was clean and felt safe and comfortable. Would do property again and would recommend to family / friends!

The Perfect Place to Stay in DC!

From start to finish, I enjoyed my experience at The Hamilton in Washington, DC. The staff was exceptionally friendly upon my arrival--I got there early, and they were able to accommodate me. The room itself was comfortable and elegant--I especially loved the complimentary package for a good night's sleep, which included a relaxing CD, eye mask and linen spray. The location was perfect for touring the city, and it was close to restaurants and a CVS. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Good base for exploring DC

The Crowne Plaza Hotel-The Hamilton CP in Washington DC is convenient to McPherson Square Station (2 blocks away). I arrived earlier than expected because my cell phone broke and I hoped to use a phone and find a nearby store. The front desk attendant very helpfully directed me to a store and a pay phone in the lobby to call home. Our room was clean; we had two doubles and the room was a bit small by today's standards, but certainly acceptable since all we did was sleep there at night anyway. (We had three people.) Nice bed linens. Walk to National Mall was about 8 or 9 blocks, but the Metro was a fine alternative. Starbucks is on site as well as a hotel restaurant, which had good food. We had the breakfast buffet there that was a bit pricey, but we felt better about it after seeing the variety of food. Fruit was very good quality and we had plenty to eat. Nearby coffee shop/cafes are another option--we ate at Cosi and it was fine. There's also a trendy night club across the street.
