Elegant hotel with classy restaurant steps away from the White House
The Hamilton Crowne Plaza is in a restored 1920s-era building located in Lafayette Park. The hotel is near most D.C. tourist and business attractions. Guests don't need to leave the hotel to enjoy a delicious meal or a happy hour drink. The hotel's 14K Restaurant offers regional American cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a classy environment. The restaurant even has a children's menu. There's also a lounge where guests can sip wines from an extensive list.

Awesome One-Night Stay
Great location and very helpful staff! We stayed on the executive level. The view was beautiful, in the morning and night time. Really spacious rooms and very well-decorated.

If you're looking for good nightclubs/lounges, this is the perfect place. There are at least 5 different clubs/bars within walking distance, so you don't have to worry about cabbing it.

Great Value and Location
The Crowne Plaza DC is a gorgeous hotel with beautiful rooms, helpful staff, and a great location. The new beds are super comfortable and the linen spray and earplugs they provide are a nice touch. My one complaint is the room service menu is very limited and the food wasnt that great-- especially for room service prices. Based on the rest of my experience, I really expected more from room service. Also the coffee pot in my room was broken which was very disappointing first thing in the morning.

Great location
The hotel is only four blocks from the White House and moderate walking distance to the Mall and national monuments. It is right on K street and has immediate access to the bus lines on K street, including the Circulator bus to Georgetown and Union Station. The nearest Metro stop is only two blocks away. A number of restaurants are in the immediate area. Rooms and bathrooms are small but nicely appointed. Staff are very courteous and helpful. Business Center very small, only one PC available.

The hotel is ideally situated for touring Washington. The White House is 4 blocks, the Smithsonian, Mall and several national monuments are a 20 minute walk.

Perfect location
This hotel is in the perfect location to walk to all of the sights. The staff is very helpful and there are some nice restaurants in the vicinity.

Close to the Metro
Save yourself the cab fare and take the Metro from National/Reagan to McPherson Square--it a quick, simple trip on the subway.

Very Clean but not enough amenities
Our three night stay could have been a little more comfortable. The rooms are extremely small but exceptionally clean. Location is excellent. In walking distance to the main DC attraction and the subway. The biggest downside for us is there was no pool, or small amenities such as refrig or microwave. When travelling with teenagers these items are always a nice attraction.

Once in in a life time
My father, an WWII and Korean War vetern and I came to Washington D.C. to see the memorials that were created for his generation. It was his first time...very emotional at times. Special thanks to the Crown Plaza for special ammenity of a wheel chair that allowed us to get to many, many places that he could never have walked to. The hotel was able to put us next to an elevator so as to eliminate as much walking as possable. The resturant in the hotel was excellent and convient. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a great time!

Good Hotel and location
This is a good hotel at a reasonable price. It is located close to the White House and Washington Monument. Parking was expensive at about $30 per day.
