Pricey Parking...
We stayed for two nights and the first night had to change rooms from a king to a queen bed in the middle of the night b/c the A/C did not work. Parking was very expensive at $38 plus tax ($42) and needed to pick up vehicle by 2 pm, otherwise $5 an hour after that! Most hotels give you 24 hours...

Good Hotel in Great Location
We had a delightful room. The hotel staff was helpful getting a Mount Vernon tour for us and helping us get dried off after getting caught in the rain. The only inconvenience was that only one elevator was working due to a storm a week before. Orbitz found us a very good deal on a three day stay during our honeymoon.

The White House tour has to be arranged through your senator or representative. It was a pleasant walk although we got caught in the rain.

Location, location, loction
Just a few minutes walk away from all the places you want to see in DC. No need for a car or taxi. They have a Starbucks, restaurant and bar on site. But there are also plenty of fare options in any direction from Thai to Indian, Italian to steak & chops, soup to sushi. They even provide loaner umbrellas should the need arise. Ask for Simone at the front desk should you need any assistance regarding your accommodations.

Short walk from hotel
Enjoy the street scape on your way to the museums, monuments, parks, gardens and venues. .6 of a mile to the White House and less than 2 miles to the Capitol. All the while, your head on a swivel. Enjoy.

Vacation
Upon arrival found out that you have to pay for parking $33 per day and internet access $12.95 per day. Hotel is already extremely expensive would be nice if they could include these 2 features in the price. Other than that it was a good stay.

Not bad, but the location may cause concern
The hotel was fine. It was clean & the staff was super friendly. However, visitors need to be aware that it is directly across the street from a park that is a favorite of homeless people. I probably would not stay here again for that reason.

Family Vacaton in Washington, DC
The hotel was old and need updating. Some of the furniture was missing knobs and very worn. The hallways were narrow and dark. The location was perfect but I would definatley choose another hotel for my next trip

Good for a girls' weekend
The hotel is definitely a gem with great interiors and architecture. Compared to your average hotel, this was a really nice set up. The staff was very nice and attentive to our needs. The rooms (a little small) were gorgeously designed. The only negative critique I have is that the walls are extremely thin. We were able to hear conversations from our next door neighbors, and people outside our door. The floors were also old as we heard stomping from upstairs.

Everything we expected
The staff was friendly and helpful, the restaurant served good breakfasts and one dinner, the room was clean, and the maid service was efficient. Our only negative was that the elevator service was very slow, probably due to keeping at least two of the four off-line to save energy.

Long walk from hotel
This hotel is well-located for visiting tourist and government attractions, but short cab rides work better than long walks.
