Nice place to stay
My friends and I took a trip to DC and decided to stay this hotel. The stay was short and sweet. Nice hotel, clean rooms and nice and helpfull staff. The only issue we had was the parking. The hotel charges $33 a night for valet parking which is a rip off. If you need your car you have to call the valet # atleast 15 minutes ahead of time which was not convenient when we were going out. We forgot to call and have to wait about 20 mins for our vehicle.

Nice place with good location
The staff was nice and the bar and outdoor cafe was a welcome place to visit. My only complaint is that out of 6 elevators only 2 were working. There was no notice on the unworking cars and it was very frustrating on a Sunday morning to wait 30 minutes to get to the lobby due to overcrowding at check out time.

Great location and service
The Hamilton Crowne Plaza is an excellent location for travellers visiting D.C. as tourists or for business. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. Lists of restaurants and maps are readily available and rooms were very clean. There is also a gym with 24 hour access. It's close to metro stops and range of restaurants. If you're a walker, you can reach China Town and beyond that the mall. The White House is only a few blocks away. There is a floor for female travelers who are doing business in D.C. and provide a table for women who want to meet. The decor is very nice, but starting to wear (most noted by upholstery and dents in wood furniture). The hotel was last renovated in 2002 and it seems it may need to start doing the rooms again. It seemed unreasonable that the hotel charged 9.95 a day for internet service in the rooms, as well as the business center. Most hotels in the same area at least provide a computer with free internet access in some part of the hotel. As other reviewers have mentioned, the hotel is across the street from D.C. Coast a lovely seafood restuarant with a great atmosphere. I would certainly stay in the restaurant again.

very friendly
the hotel staff was always eager to help. The hotel was great for the money. The only down side is when you walk into the lobby and it looks great. Then you walk into your room and it is a let down after the lobby. It is a good room but small.
