Great location for seeing the sites!

While scouting a potential local university for our daughter, we also wanted to see the 'usual' sites one going to D.C. would want to see. This was a great location--very accessible to the Metro & good restaurants within walking distance.

Great location and terrific service

We were in Washington for conference so were tied up during the day but enjoyed the Starbucks right beside the hotel and the help of the staff to get us a reservation at a restaurant. A short walk to the subway to Georgetown and near restaurants with great menus. We will be going back.

Below Average

Hotel was very close to everything in DC. A good starting point to walk the city. Having said that, the service was horrible and the staff were generally useless. Nobody helped us lug heavy bags out of the car when we were checking in. It took forever for the valet to get our car, the concierge never once answered the phone on each of the 5 occasions I called, and the room was very small and cramped. All-in-all, I wouldn't go back.

Jewel of a Crowne

We did experience a minor plumbing problem, but was fixed when we returned to our room after our day-long activities. Also, we liked the location. A few blocks from the White House, China Town, and a short distance from the Metro subway system.

Great location

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not see any pictures of the rooms online and they have that way for a reason. The rooms are nothing special. It was clean and the beds comfy. But the room had a little "worn" feeling to it They have no fridge and it was very small. Parking was $33/day + tax. The phone book was from 2005!!! Thus looking for any restaurants was not accurate. Wi fi was an additional $12.95/day. DO NOT touch the bottle water they offer in the room unless you want to pay almost $3 for it. Location was great. That was the only thing they had going fo it.

Not what I booked

I booked a park view suite with a king bed, didn't get that and was put into a room with 1 double bed. Asked to be moved or to amend the rate for the room which was already paid for and they advised that they had no "park view" suites. They did move us to a room with a king bed. I've stayed at many D.C. hotels and will not return to this one.

1 night stay

The hotel was in a great location and the staff was nice, but very overworked. We waited to be seated to the breakfast buffet and then they were constantly out of food and trying to restock. We waited a 1/2 hour for the valet to get our car. The staff answered all our questions, but did not go out of their way to help us get around the city. Rooms were clean and small, but really the location is the only reason to stay here.

Awesome Hotel

My stay was a mix of business and r&r. The room was immaculate and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel offers a special sleep help package which is free. The bar/restaurant is hip and trendy which serves very good food. Close to all major sites in the DC area--two blocks from White House. Exceptional service and staff.
