Great location, great room

The location was amazing, walking distance to the white house, the museums and chinatown. Close to metro and lots of places to eat nearby. They allowed us to check in before noon which was nice but couldn't get us a room with a king size bed. Room is nicely decorated and surprisingly roomy. Would stay here again.

Wonderful people and location

The Crowne Plaza was everything we needed! The staff were exceptional...so friendly, helpful, and do everything they could to make our stay in DC during spring break a fun one! The doormen greeted us with smiles, hellos, and asked if they could assist us in any way. The concierge was so helpful in giving suggestions, arranging tours, etc. The room was very clean, comfortable, and accessible to so many tourist attractions! Definitely would stay there again!!!

My review of Crowne Plaza Hotel THE HAMILTON CP-WASHINGTON DC

Thought the reservation desk was exceptional. The maid service was wonderful. Room was very comfortable. I didn't like that there was a valet charge of $33 per day that I wasn't told about until after the check-in process was completed. There was no water until 5AM the next morning on the date of our arrival and I didn't know about this until our ride up the elevator with the luggage. The day we left, we had to wait about 20 minutes for our car to be brought around because the valet failed to bring it. (We called for the car about an hour before it was needed.) We had a flight to catch and this could have been a major problem. The restaurant was advertised in the book in the room to be open until 11PM, but they refused to serve us at 10:30PM. All of this said, we really enjoyed our stay. For every problem we encountered, there were many other exceptionally nice and helpful people.

Great location

Hotel is in good location but also very noisy location. The weekend we went there must have been 100 kids there visiting which also made it louder but the hotel is pretty nice.

great location

The best thing about this hotel is the location: downtown Washington DC, which means right next to the White House (2 blocks), Washington Monument. If you like going out at night you will find a lot of clubs on the same street.

Good Value

The Crowne Plaza Hotel THE HAMILTON CP-WASHINGTON DC, WASHINGTON, DC was a good value. We were on the corner of the building so there was a fair amount of street noise and there was a fire station around the corner so there was also a fair amount of siren noise. The hotel was pretty reasonably prices and the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. They did provide one set of earplugs that were on the bed when we arrived but we had 4 people staying in the room (we should have asked for additional ear plugs.) The hotel lobby staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff was less freindly. The location was good, near a metro rail station and near bus stops. Walking distance to the National Mall at about 8+ blocks.

Happy 40th Birthday

This trip to DC was partly made memorable by the Hamilton Crowne Plaza. We had a wonderful time and great weather. The staff was very curteous. A small refrigerator in the room would have made things a little more like home.

charming

The decor of the Hamilton is very charming, although it was smaller than I was expecting. There were enough negatives to make me wish I had chosen a different hotel. There was an after hours club within a half block that had loud raucous partying in the streets until 4 AM. The dining was good - breakfast and lunch when there were buffets is the best bet. The dinner menu didn't suit my tastes. It's proximity to the DC sites meant lots of walking or taking the Metro. It would make more sense to stay further out and Metro to the sites than to spend the extra money on a hotel close to downtown. The majority of the staff was helpful and friendly. Check out was a nightmare with a poorly trained clerk unable to use ther computer systems. We had to check out twice because he initially checked out a different party when I handed him my key. I give the experience a C. NOt necessarily anything to rave t about to warrnat spending more money for staying at the Hamilton.

Best priced hotel in the area!

The hotel was near the metro as well as washington attractions. I was upset that in order to eat breakfast I would have to pay a high-priced amount.
