In the heart of it all!! Great price! Bonus: Free coffee, cappuccinos, lattes, and bottle water

We are very frequent travelers all over the world so have many experiences in a variety of places. Club Quarters is by far one of the best kept secrets in DC. Location can't be beat. You're literally above the metro blue line (beware that it is not open on weekends, but you walk a block to the red line) so we could come right from airport and be at the hotel in less than 20 minutes. Also you're walking distance to the white house (about half a mile or less). The red line will take you right to the Smithsonian and the Mall. LOTS of eating and drinking places around you. The hotel restaurant was very expensive. But across the street is a fantastic bakery. Great sports bars, etc. in the area. Only downside, walls are a little thing. For us this wasn't a problem because neither room on either side of us watched TV, but if they would have this would have been noisy. The best treat by far though is the Lobby area on the second floor. Coffee, Latte and Cappuccino machine for free all day. Nice little perk, especially in the cool winter months. Also a nice lounge area to hang out if you're in a smaller room. We got the smallest room which is great for two but yes, it is small. But you're in DC, you don't need a big room if you're going to be out playing. If you want something bigger you have to spring for a suite. Don't book the small room and complain it's too small, it isn't built to live in your room in DC for a weekend, it's meant to sleep and shower. Will be back for sure. Amazing location, amazing price!

Money-saving tip: In Hotel

Pass on the $5 Starbucks Latte down the street and use the hotel Lobby room on the second floor and drink all the lattes and cappuccinos you want for free all day! Great place to wait while you're room is being prepared if you arrive early!

Convenient location to the White House and National Mall. Solid location and nice enough for the price.

staff/parking

The front desk staff was very rude. The parking for the hotel was at a parking garage down the street which you had to drive to, then walk back to the hotel. You would then need to check out and then walk back to the garage to get your car, when checking out make sure you have the front desk validate your parking ticket otherwise the garage tries to charge your $45 instead of $20. (they will not call the hotel either, you have to walk back) When I was picking my car up I found the valet driver going through my car, when I asked what he was doing in my passenger door and center console he pretended not to speak English. If you know the area and do not need to park your car then hotel is great, if you are from out of town then I would look for another hotel.

If driving to the hotel and planning to park near it, note that the intersection just north of the hotel is odd and 17th street veers east.

Good value option, lots of amenities

Great hotel, fantastic service - delivered a microwave to my room so I could re-heat a pizza! Full choice of TV channels, free wifi and office with computer and printers. Comfortable clean room. Really nice free tea and coffee all day in lounge, with fruit on weekdays. Only negatives: I found it difficult to find the hotel on a weekend, as the subway exit next door is closed on a weekend. You're required to pay a $50 security deposit on arrival which is refunded on departure. Would definitely stay again.

Check which stations are open on the underground on a weekend!
