shocked
From the picture it looked elegant and secure . Building exterior was old and out dated no landscaping looked dull. Inside overly painted dark colors and wall paper. Small inside. Checked in was given room with 1bed when my order was for 3ppl and 2 double beds. Had to get room switched. I was not impressed and thought if reservations were made staff should read and give correct service. Good option was parking garage underneath hotel to keep car safe thou extra charge per night. Also do tour bus which is good tourism are close by to drive no walkn distance. But for price I did not feel it was worth it. Maybe a half price I would expect it. I was an experience and beds were comfortable at least.

good time
it was a nice time, we upgraded to a larger room after being placed in a tiny room next to the elevator. The restaurant was closed so that was a let down, and the location is awkwardly on a highway but it was a nice time overall

Great location for attending ballgame!
We only stayed one night so we were not able to experience the hotel amenities fully. The size of the room (a bit small) might have been an issue if our stay had been longer. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Good, bad and so so
Stayed at hotel for 8 nights. Had a nice view of the Capitol from our room. You can walk to city center, about 8 blocks under train tracks and freeways, but I wouldn't recommend it. Had to use taxi or Metro a lot because of limited shuttle service; i. e., no airport pick up/drop off, only 4 times in a.m. and 4 times in p.m...drop off only to specific sites. No pick ups back to the hotel...you are on your own. Restaurant was breakfast buffet only and routinely ran out of food/drinks. Upon check out we were charged a holding fee of $2.00 a bag until our flight later in the day. Don't count on using the public internet/printer...it never worked for us.

It was nice
I enjoyed my stay at Captial Skyline Hotel. The beds were ULTRA comfortable and warm. There was a courtesy shuttle that will take you to certain places, but you have to find your own way back. That's not a bad thing because everything is in walking distance from the hotel. I didn't like the $28 parking fee and they put a $50 lean on your credit just in case you use something in the room. THey say it gets credited back to your card, but I'm still waiting. This is also not written anywhere. I would stay there again. The night staff was so nice. The morning staff...emmmmm not too bad, but to be desired. The bar/restaurant doesn't stay open late, so eat or drink before coming back to the hotel

Right down the street is a little complex with a Phillips buffet and several other restaurants that are soooo good. Also, before you go home, you should go back to the complex for the outdoor seafood mart. Yummy.
