disapointing
Arrived the day after Thanksgiving for one night. We found out the suttle service is very limited to certain spots in the morning and after 12:00 noon it only goes to eating establishments....not good! Our room was hot even after the air was put on, one of the shades was broken....ice machines are located in the basement, not on every floor....etc. What was also disapointing was the description of "renovated" and the 3 star rating.........clearly it is not 3 star.

Long walk from hotel
Plan on taking the "Metro" and walk to a stop. Do not believe, "oh there is parking on the streets". The parking in D.C. is HORRABLE!

Retro One of a Kind
We enjoyed staying at this hotel. The 24 hr gym was nice. The breakfast buffet was alright. It was very basic and not what I was expecting from the description on the hotel's website. If it is not included in your hotel package, it it definitely not worth $14 a pop! The rooms were clean and fine. The first room they put us in was extremely warm and we stayed in it one night with no sleep. It also had a shower tub that didn't drain which was gross, standing in your own dirtiness. The second call to the front desk, they were happy to accommodate us to a cooler room with a draining tub. The main cons of this hotel is that it is on a busy street which makes it really loud, and hard to sleep in with all the honking etc. Another con is that parking is $30/day! They don't mention parking on their website probably because it is where they get you. It's impossible to find parking outside the hotel if you have a car, so plan on forking out an extra $210 just for storing your car. Overall, this was a great place to sleep, clean up and eat, especially with a smaller budget. It was a quick drive into downtown but probably not the best place to stay if you don't have a car, because you don't want to make that walk.

Good deal in the Nation's capital
Older hotel that has been zhuzhed up with attractive & trendy lobby/restaurant and decorative touches in the rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bed was super comfortable. Wify connection was slow but reliable. Not close to main business areas, but only a couple blocks walk to the Metro so no car needed. And the view of the Capitol from my room was breathtaking.

Nice enough place, but thin walls
Lobby was nice, room was fine, breakfast was decent. I think the walls are a bit thin because I had to listen to my neighbor blare his tv into all hours of the night, which definitely contributed to not getting much sleep that night. I called the lobby and they called the room (I also heard the phone ring), but that didn't help so much. Maybe it wasn't the hotel and just an inconsiderate neighbor though. Also, I had issues getting home via cab the first night because the cab driver had no idea where he was going. Its a bit off the beaten path so it might be good to remember directions.

Just A Quick Overnight Stay
I don't recommend this hotel if you are staying for a long weekend or longer. I stayed one night and that is all I would stay. Shady looking building in a shady area. The rooms were clean but outdated.

Close to ideal D.C. spots
Hotel is within walking distance to capitol hill but only if walking at daylight hours. Hotel staff was friendly but nothing more. The lobby was about the only thing attractive about the hotel style. Rooms were very basic but had everything needed for a one night stay.

Great Location but a little out of date.
We could see the capitol from the room. The room was a little out of date and could use some updating. The computers in the lobby were very slow and the printer didn't work for one of them. Overall you really couldn't ask for much more for the price.

It's very hard to find parking in the city. You're better off paying the money to park in a garage all day and take shuttles.
